Ok, well I haven't heard from Tigranes. I have played the IBT and started my turn three. If Tigranes comes up and wants it this weekend, I'll do a pass at mid turn.

    IBT:
Argentina joins Spain in MA against US
La Plata give us the boot (we were moving through to get to Brazil)
Ottomans join Scandinavia in MA against US (Now we can finish them off!!)

Brazilian Raiders destroy Italian Transport off of the West coast of Africa

Ottoman Camel Raider attacks a stack of railbuilders guarded by a Colonial Sentry and kill them all. (Their end will be soon)
The Ottoman Arctic Operations Training Force moves south into Japanese Russia once again.
Ottoman Fleets move South of Madagascar.

Balcans move a valiant force of MGs out of Athens for us (Oops… did I leave Constantinople uncovered? How many turns will you have to walk through my territory to get there? He he he)
The Balcans sally a raider to sink the Ottoman Transport that cruised up to the Nile Delta.

Portuguese Africa Corps (1 Cav unit) dispatches the Ottoman Camel Raider for us.
    Argentina DOW on Portugal
Tunis is bombed twice by airships from Palermo.

The British conveniently evacuate Fort Dauphin in Madagascar for us – moving on Tanarive.
The British assault Italian Forces in Cagiliera and lose three Cav and while killing one MG.
The Surviving Royal Navy vessels off the coast of Cartagena scoot into Palermo for cover.
A royal Navy Convoy heads south into the Channel.
A British Convoy is also sighted in the Atlantic off of SW Africa.

France Bombards Tangiers with an Airship from the Canary Isles.

The US demonstrates their Airship prowess by Bombarding Kingston, Elements of the Caribbean Fleet near the Yucatan, and our Pacific Picket Fleets.
The US sends a convoy from Vancouver with two Florida BBs and 2 TRs steaming toward the lightly guarded home islands.
Teddy Roosevelt sends his Rough Riders charging up San Juan hill (conveniently leaving Havana only guarded by colonial sentries). The Cav settles into the trenches SE of Nuevitas. :crazyeye:

Brazil infiltrates their two 1hp MGs toward our un-guarded VP location in the Jungle (have a nice time with the Malaria Mosquitos, Boys!). They also send a lonely Cav up to Columbia.

Peace Breaks out all over as Germany/AH sign treaties with Britain and La Plata.

And for Documentary Interest here are some shots of the French Zeppelin Raid on Tangiers and the US Navy's Zeppelin in action against one of our Setsu Battleships.

    Mediterranean Campaign:
Shell Lefkosia with Eastern Med Taskforce. Begin assault by land forces. The Defenders are not weakened enough yet, so we call off the attack after losing 1 eCav.
Shell Palermo with our shore batteries but the defense looks too strong. I could use the Western Mediterranean Navy here, but the British ships in Port would soak up most of the damage. I decide to bring the fleet in on the siege of Cartagena.
Shell Cartagena with the Fleet and bring significant damage to the defenders. After having built up our invasion forces to 8 Corps at the base 1 tile N of Cartagena (see picture below),

We launch our assault on the Spanish defenses, and after inflicting tremendous damage, Cartagena falls to our victorious forces.

    African Campaign:
Our African Forces storm through the weak Ottoman resistance in Benghazi and Murzuk and earn recognition by Forming 2 new Corps. Africa now has only two remaining cities that are non- Japanese. They are held by our valiant ally the Kaiser.
Our forces in Madagascar watch the Imperial Navy punish the British forces in Fort Dauphin. As the last gun falls silent, troops assault the smashed defensive works and seize the last British Colonial possession in the Eastern Hemisphere. The Fort Dauphin Devastators Corps is formed and tears down the British flag from the Colonial Headquarters (see pic).

Our forces continue their victorious rampage by mauling the remaining British Forces on the isle, bringing glory to the empire by forming yet another Corps: the Tanarive Terrors Corps.
With Fort Dauphin now under the control of the Emperor, the Imperial Navy turns its attention to the Ottoman Taskforce just south of Madagascar. A terrific surface action sees the Ottoman escort fleet ravaged as the transports flee as sheep before wolves.

    Caribbean Campaign:

The defenders of Havana cower as our infantry storms through their meager defense. Weak colonial sentry militia surrender by the hundreds as they realize resistance against the Emperor is futile :assimilate:.
Our fleet assaults and sinks a marauding Florida BB in the Cancun Straits. Imperial Navy Battleships and Destroyers then shell Cancun, sinking a newy built Florida BB and 4 dastardly Airships (what a cool animation! I love watching that one every time:cool:), and then cut the road to Cancun to limit the resources available to the American Defenders. The fleet moves down the coast and starts softening defenses on Belize to await the mighty onslaught of Imperial forces.

    Pacific Theater:
Our Northern Taskforce rallies to respond to the American Convoy headed for our sacred homeland. Momo DDs and Setsus ravage and then finish off the hapless USN battleships leaving the transports completely at our mercy. Other Pacific picket force raid the West coast destroy enemy lines of communication and resources. A daring raid into the teeth of shore batteries by 2 DDs and 1 Setsu BB sends the USS Utah (another Florida Class BB) to the bottom of Guadalajara harbor (image taken by the intrepid destroyer crew) .

    European Theater:
Decide that now is the time for Paris. 60 odd Arty shell the city, Multiples Corps assaults, we lose one corps but gain one, and the city of 18+ defenders is ours. Move up Corps and Arty and conduct preparatory fires on Madrid for next turn's attack.
Fleet bombards Palermo and sinks two British escorts.

    Misc:
Land troops next to Belize and near Tegucigalpa setting up for taking out Central America.

Move transports and Fleet toward Greater Brazil and encounter a small US Convoy that we send to the bottom (1 Kearsarge BB, 1 Virginia BB and one TR). The picture below is of a Torpedo attack being launched from one of our destroyers.

TBC on Monday. Have a great weekend

Thanks Tigranes! Yeah, I gotta feeling it may not last past your turnset!
We are at 62% right now and have not pushed hard in South America yet as our effort were diverted North to deal with the Caribbean. More reinforcements are on the way to the Western Hemisphere and that will loosen things up there quite a bit.

Working through my end of turn wrap before the IBT right now.

Sink a Balcan Destroyer with shore battery fire at the Nile Delta.

Build Setsus via short rush in Scandinavian Shipyards. Japanese innovation discovers that we can train our WW1 Infantry faster if we teach them how to ride horses first! (Use shortrushing to speed up builds of WW1 Infantry for towns of 150+ Shields by rushing Japanese Cavalry then switching back to WW1 Infantry). Rush a few improvements i.e. Internationals Customs Ports.

See the picture below of the Bofors Armaments Company building armament for our Scandinavian Setsus.

Also a picture of our recently completed (BB) Setsu #64 in Oslo Harbor.

Spanish Cav from Madrid rides down 2 German Cav and one Austrian Cav, but is killed by Austrian Cav on counter attack.

Central America lands a Cav and an MG near Caracas.

Brazilian Destroyer darts in to the straits of Gibraltar to sink one of our exposed transports. They also send a Cavalry on a Jungle Expedition of Exploration searching for the headwaters of the Amazon.

The remnants of the Ottoman Navy scurry from Madagascar toward Capetown.

The Balcans launch a Zeppelin raid against our Palermo Siege Forces trying to relieve a little pressure for the British. A few more brave Greeks flee Athens and try to close on unguarded Constantinople. They are having extreme difficulties in conducting movements in the mountains of Albania. (Later our brave Teutonic allies send a Cavalry to pick off a Balcan Light Cav that strayed too far from the main body.)

Here is a picture of these valiant German Lancers

Portuguese Cavs futilely assault the British Fortress of Medeira.

British Zeppelin forces relentlessly bombard Algiers and Cartagena from airfields in Palermo. The Royal Navy sends Dreadnaught raiders north along the Scandinavian Coast. A Convoy moves south towards Amsterdam. A British convoy sails from the Central Atlantic and lands 4 Cav on Puerto Rico next to San Juan.

The US Navy sends over 10 Airships to attack our fleets in the Pacific, Gulf of California, and the Caribbean. Two Florida class BBs depart Seattle to try to link up with their unescorted Steam Transports that are surrounded by our imperial Navy. One of the aforementioned Steam Transports breaks contact during heavy weather and steams on to the west towards the Home Islands. They send a convoy to Cuba but do not drop troops.

The Germans send troops to attack Santander and succeed in destroying two Spanish defenders.

Bi-plane Fighters II comes in (this was four turn research by scientists only). Continue on to Cruisers in 4.

Germany is Building the Flamenwerfer Akademie and the Askari Barracks.

    Caribbean Campaign:

The big guns of the Central Caribbean Task-force open up on the defenders of Belize. Dazed and stunned they are no match for our Japanese troops and Belize falls to the Empire! Destroyers shell Cancun downing three USN dirigibles.

On the Pacific Side of Central America, Destroyers and Battleships fire salvo after salvo into the defenders of Guatemala. Troops storm the city and the defenders flee in terror. Fresh reinforcements land at the docks immediately afterward, ready to push on to Tegucigalpa next turn.

    Setsu firing on Guatemala

Garrison troops devastate the British Landing in Puerto Rico (our *e Cav and two vet WW1 Inf vs. 4 reg Colonial Cav).

Our South Caribbean task-force lands troops adjacent to Belem and then shells the town. The defenders are all redlined. This town will fall next turn facilitating the Brazilian Breakout and South American Land Grab. Our Amazonian Artillery Corps moves to linkup with our Naval forces to ensure Japanese domination of the continent.

    Mediterranean Campaign:

Palermo is shelled by landward batteries and then Naval forces. Our naval forces down at least 8 British Airships in the bombardment. Japanese Infantry Corps surge forward and overwhelm the British defenders.

Mediterranean Fleet Preparing to Bombard Palermo: Note the Imperial Japanese Airship Accompanying the Task Force (Its based in Malta).

Lefkosia is shelled by 20+ artillery and the Eastern Med Task Force. All defenders are pinged but over 20 showed during bombardment. For a two tile stretch of land this doesn’t seem worth it. We only have about 8 infantry to assault this round and they would be charging 3 hp defenders. Nope. Time to move on, and leave them with their little stinking Rock in the sea. We Pull all troops and Artillery off the island and debark them in Turkey.

Our Gibraltar watch force (1 cruiser, 1 destroyer) sink the impudent Brazilian raider in the straits.

    European Campaign:

The Emperor’s forces move north from Cartagena and initiate an intense artillery barrage of Madrid. Infantry Corps use their mobility to cross the river before assaulting the Spanish capital. Though the defenders are tenacious, they are no match for the might of the Empire! Madrid Falls! Victorious forces stream forward toward Santander and shell a few stunned defenders. Your time will come next turn.

Artillery from the siege of Paris move south and redline all defenders in Lyon. As the troops assault, we lose 1 eWW1 Infantry but gain a New Corps! They last French defender surrenders as we take control of the city.

We shift Artillery to Belgrade next and pound the stubborn defenders. Again we assault and the Last Serbian Infantry division flees our victorious infantry. We shift our troops to the Pindus Mountains to assault Athens next turn and our Mountain Guns give them a taste of things to come.

Serbian Infantry outside Belgrade brace for Japanese assault

Our Setsu Battleships in the North Sea inflict punishment on the Royal navy, sinking a convoy NE of London and sinking two of the British Raiders steaming north in the Norwegian Sea. We also use bombardment to destroy Naval Bases and terrain improvements. Interestingly, the Brits have cleared a tile SW of London and we have transport capacity to drop 16 units in the British home land. (As per the team’s agreement however, I resist the urge to stick it to the British by invading their shores.)

British Dreadnought Audacious sinking in the Norwegian Sea after battle with Imperial Navy Forces

    Other Action:
Our Indian Ocean Task-force cleans up the remnants of the Ottoman Navy (1TB and 3 TR) and steam toward the South Atlantic.

This Ottoman transport ship hit is by torpedo fire.

Our destroyers attack a Uruguayan Convoy sinking their cruiser and leaving a transport West of Capetown.

Shore fire from Dakar sinks a Brazilian Destroyer raider promoting the mountain gun battery in the process.

Our Pacific fleet shells Los Angeles and San Diego and destroy terrain improvements in southern California.

    Miscellaneous Movements:
Moved more reinforcements from Pacific Islands towards South America. There are almost 30 infantry, cav and arty in the pipeline to the South American theater.
Sunk one more of the British Battleships North of Norway.

The Pacific Fleet destroys 2 US Transports and 2 Florida Class BBs west of Seattle.

Worked through build queues shortrushing Setsus, WW1 Infs, Cavs, and Arty where possible.
We are at 135,472 Gold right now, so more rushing could be done if desired.

I am going to hand this game off at this point to the next better player. Its been a blast to play and an honor to have an go with this team.:D

We have 62% land right now, and though I took 5 cities it didn’t bump. Expect to jump 1-2 more points in the next turn.

We are set to continue campaigning in Europe. The Balcans only have Athens left on the mainland and it should drop next turn. Use remaining Arty with Bombardment to tackle and take down Marseilles. This will relegate both of these powers to proud monarchs of Mediterranean Islands. I’d recommend against attacking these peripherals until there is no more land to be had elsewhere. Spain will go out of the game next turn when Santander is smashed with the forces there.

Italy has been our valiant ally, but the agreement that we have with them is expiring next turn and they are under the current dogpile, so I recommend using the Palermo force to smash Taranto next turn and move up the boot. Taking Marseilles will open the door to attacking down the peninsula too. They should last 2-3 turns. The Portuguese are prime targets and there is a few more turns on our peace with them. Its probably worth the rep hit to attack them immediately after Spain, but I don’t know how sacrosanct our Rep is with the team. They have a lone cav wandering in Japanese North Africa, so take care of that. They will control only the Azores after their two continental cities fall.

We have spies with most powers minus Germany and Austria.
Germany will have to be dealt with, to take all of Europe. They are pretty strong and have captured both French and Spanish Cities. I have maintained good rep and ROP with them to allow us freedom of Movement. If you so decide, heal up after Italy and Portugal, then strike fast. A lonely victory point location say in Turkey might draw off some of their troops before you strike.

South America. The build up is gaining momentum. We may be able to finish the game here. There is probably enough land to do it. We have some troops in Quito that can move next turn and this is a good port for South American Landfall. Central America should be finished next turn, and troops can be shipped from there to Panama or back into the Carrib to deal with landings. We are currently at war with Brazil and Uruguay, and 2 Brazilian cities on the coast are prime to fall this next turn with continued assaults on all of their coastal cities following. I’d then turn NW and finish their two remaining inland cities before going further south. Uruguay, should be next followed by Argentina , then Chile or Peru.

Diplomatically, the US still won’t talk and there is a US convoy threatening a landing in the Caribbean or Columbia. We have gained what we wanted from the US, so take peace when available. I have been destroying their infrastructure where possible.
It might be worthwhile to make peace with the Scandinavians, as they brought in two opponents with MA’s against us.
There is another Brit convoy in the Eastern Carrib than may drop troops too.

There are Rail crews working in North Africa and out the Kamchatka peninsula. Asian workers are building some key mines and Tehran could really use a mountain mine to get 150 spt (for short rushing WW1 Inf via Cav). There are probably some other opportunities like this.

Transports in Algiers make a quick run to Cartagena and any units going that way can drop off RMs at the dock. Palermo to Tunis has transports available to bring in reinforcements from Africa. Alexandria to Turkey also has Transports for shipping troops.

All Momos in the Indian Ocean are moving toward the Med, and anything in the South Pacific are headed toward Chile (should not be on auto, I tried to keep them moving only their allowance per turn). They can help with shore bombardment there. Australia is building troops slowly, but they could all be rushed this turn if you want more reinforcements.
Ships in the Home Islands are moving toward the US to continue economic sanctions. The North Sea Battle Fleet will continue to punish the British with large caliber shell fire.

Here is a nice little World Map indicating increasing dominance of green.

    Turn Review:

Here is my Pre-turnset Strategy Post:

    Strategic Objectives:
Win By Domination (getting closer, one or two more turnsets we went from (59% to 62%)
    Operational Objectives:
    Africa:

Destroy Last 5 British and French Cities in Africa Done
Prepare to Destroy Ottomans Ottomans relgated to islanders.
Take Madagascar to eliminate British Colonial Holding Yup!

    Americas:

Blunt US Power in the Carribean
Deal with US Navy Local incursions destroyed. USN Airships continue to Ping the Pacific Fleet. Shelling Cancun regularly has seen multiple Airships destroyed.
Take Cuba then Central America Cuba down, and only Tegucigalpa left to take.
Take and hold South America from the Isthmus South (Working on it)
Take peace with US when available (waiting for them to talk)

    Europe:

Maintain German Neutrality – Ah yes our brave Teutonic Allies! Stay on friendly turns until --- :backstab:
    - ROP with Germany May be worthwhile to tie an ROP with Austria to MA against Italy just to keep them from getting frisky.
Assemble expeditionary force to the Iberian Peninsula 2 Spanish cities down, one to go. Portugal Next :assimilate:
Move units to Europe as they come free from Africa Most troops are in Europe now. There is a building capability in West Africa to ship units to South America, so they might be able to reinforce the Drive after Brazil.

The freebie on my turn was the Attack by the Balcans! They allowed a significant expansion and shored up our South Eastern European Border!

In the spoiler there is a map of Europe with immediate targets in Red and Follow on Targets in Orange.
    Spoiler :

I am taking over! Please comment on this (especially Whomp) : if I continue with Domination AND attempt to assault London -- will this keep everybody happy? ;)
