Eldorado III
Eldorado is a scenario for civ3 conquest on the theme of exploration and conquest of a new world.
We are in 1450. Wars in Europe ended. A new era of expansion opens for your nation.
Will you lead your country to prosperity? Can you discover new lands and exploit the resources (gold, silver,...)? Will you find the mythic Eldorado? Will you discover the fountain of youth? Will you manage to protect your trading vessels from pirates? Can you fill the first conditions of victory for this game? You have until 1750 at the latest for this ...
During 3 centuries you will have to excel in the art of war, navy, exploration and diplomacy to achieve your goals. The task ahead is not easy, believe me!
Civilizations:
- european major powers (England, France, Spain, Portugal, Nederland)
- natives
- pirates
Objectives
- as an european nation you must reach 60 000 victory points. You will score by bringing treasures in your capital. There are several kinds of treasures
- as a pirate you can win by reaching 60 000 victory points (but it's harder) or you can obtain a cultural or diplomatic victory
- as a native you can win only on cultural condition
What you will find in this game
- some unpublished graphics (like advisors, era splashes, tech trees, some aspects of terrain, buildings and wonders...)
- great units (almost made by sandris, imperator1961 + cossacks conversion by Steph)
- new music and sound effects
- several hundreds of units (land units and different kind of boats)
- separate tech tree (historical) for each nation
- 240 new buildings and wonders
- 70 resources
- a complete civilopedia but in french for now (a translation is possible later if you like this game)
Specialties of this scenario
- very special units (that's why you will not find a biq for solo games because AI doesn't know how to handle some units)
- exploration is much harder than in an epic game. You will face full of aggressive indigenous tribes, wildlife (some invisible units like snakes!). Some terrains (like jungle) are hard to fathom and only your explorers or conquistadors will venture there... At the start of the game you can't terraform everywhere as you want!
-you have very limited diplomatic contacts that you'll need to develop during the game. The same way, you can't trade by crossing the ocean at the start of the game. Your colonies are fragile because they can only produce militias and this is not easy to defend against the hostile world around them
