You guys can nominate someone for governer of the Provence Luna(Oylmpia, Hippoville, Holy Duck Pond). And when elections come who ever post the polls or whatever I ask that you not forget the governers. I also wish to to run again for CP director. I feel like my work is not quite yet complete.

Wow, do I need to say anything? It seems I have support already.
Well, here's my bit of propaganda. I have been posting polls for Science topics for a month now, and things have went smoothly. I posted polls in advance, in case we had a problem with blocked techs. I have been very democratic in that when the first poll went down due to forum problems, I posted another poll rather than going on my decision or the decisions of those few people who voted.
I can't do this very well, I'm not in my evil overlord persona, and I can't blow my own trumpet.

You get my full support to.You did a great job at the science department ,and have proven yourself as a quite capable science leader.
Me myself are not sure yet to run for president.It all depend's on who want's to run for this job.If nobody nominate's himself to run for president ,or if i'm concerned with the applicant's ,then i will runn for a second term.
But i want to give everybody the chance to be a president.
I want to run for vice-president though ,as i'm still sure that for the future a vice president will be nessecary!
I won't say i have been the best president ,no'r the worst ,but i do not have that much time to always be a perfect president.

I'd like to be expansion leader. as such, I promice so:
I will build a first fleet of ships, to explore new islands and beyond.
I will then build a second fleet, for transportation of out settlers to un-occupied islands, so we can claim them
I will then use that second fleet again to move more settlers to more islands. eventually, to occupied islands, so we can have a foothold in the lands of those infedels.
I will then settle like crazy!
the transportation fleet will be both small and efficient. it can go back and forth and forth and back, and here and there and there and here, and 1 ship can, if used right, settle 20 cities! this fleet will eventually be turned into an attacking fleet, and he handed to the military.
I will seek out "stragetic canals" [check the pic below, red dot, will make a city, whereby you can sail in one side, and out the other. if used in a stragetic place, real world example of panama, then you can gain alot fo power] and settle them

I would like to know whether he wants to do the job before nominating him, but I think that Alcibiades would make a great president. I agree with the vast majority of the posts he has made here, and he seems to be playing in a style similar to my own.
I think that Duck of Flanders may have made himself ineligible for re-election by cheating to find out how soon the English would build the Colossus. I don't know what the rest of you think about this, but I find it quite unsporting and it would be disqualified in a GOTM. I don't mean it as a personal slur on our great leader, and was considering the possibility of our having to buy the Colossus anyway at some point myself, but it will make things too easy for us if it happens again. We could try and continue as if we were unaware that the English were about to complete the Colossus and then capture it later or live without it, but it would have formed a major part of my strategy and I would have preferred us to be further advanced in its construction by now. Never mind, the polls tell us what to do and that's the whole point of the game.
If AoA doesn't want to be President, then I shan't nominate him, but I like his style, and although I know he's got family commitments, I think he could keep things going very well. If he posts here saying that he doesn't want to be President then all well and good, but I'd like to see him in the hot throne.
The reason I've reposted this is because of the underlined part.
I realized after my nomination of Duck that he made 3 vital mistakes during his term.
Cheating, and the duke pointed out, was the last one. He played ahead to, which is against our rules. And is grounds for impeachment.
Not e-mailing the MOD Liasion the saved game. Which was a new rule we added due to my next point.
Disappearing for the Christmas Holiday and not telling anyone.
These three points are enough to sway my vote. It's AoA, All The Way!

i have no problem with people thinking i'm a cheater by doing this.I did this from the point of view as a president ,to make sure the game could run the following turn's and that nothing could stop our progress that would have been impossible to implement in choices to vote on.
it was just: At the point that i would have gotten the message: the english are almost complete building the colossus ,it would have been to late to rush build the wonder by lack of money.
Ok ,then you can say ,you should have left it so that we didn't or wouldn't have the collosus.But then again ,the computer himself cheats bigtime when building wonder's ,so i didn't find it etchicly wrong to do this ,or even didn't consider it "cheating" ,merely getting even with the A.i. .
But ,now i see that Aoa has nominated himself as president ,i'm quite content and as i said before i wouldn't run for president if other good candidate's nominated themselfs for the job ,so i'm glad to go for Vice president ,wich is really the best ,my experience can help AoA in case he has problem's.
But i warn AOA ,this is not an easy job.Maybe if he has played 20 turn's into the game ,he will understand why i did that wonder "cheat".

I probably shouldn't have used the word cheat to refer to the Duck, and want to stress that I think he has managed quite well leading the Fanatica. It's not a personal thing by any means, but it could spoil the game for the future. What he should have done, perhaps, is to tell the other players that he had played ahead, but not told us what he discovered and then passed the presidency on earlier than planned so that we wouldn't have had an unfair advantage. It's too late now, so we can only press ahead, but we should try to decide at some point by a poll whether we are to use this knowledge or to play on as if we were unaware and more than likely end up with another wonder instead. Cornmaster is probably the best personal to organise a poll for this, as MOD liaison officer.

For the game to run well, I'm afraid that my highest ambition would be governor of a far-flung province.

Duck, if you want to un-nominate yourself, you can do that in the nomination froum. I think I even nominated you as Prez. it would mean that only AoA is running for prez. I dont like to see anyone win anything by acclimation, especially in a democracy. someone, anyone, even his best friend who says "vote for him, not me" should run against soemone. that way people who want want the person about to be accliamed to win, can vote for someone else. I hope that no one wins these elections by acclimation. {menaing, Duck, I encourage you to run for prez, and if you cant, I encourage someone else to} nothing person against AoA, even though we have had some friction in the past, its just the way I am. in my youth parliament, it looked like one guy was going to take the leadership my acc. so I ran against him. It doesn't matter anyway to me if you nominated yourself or have been nominated by other's.And although i understand youre moral (or social) stance with not nominating yourself ,i am for it that everybody would nominate himself for administrative reasons ,as nomination's by other's uberhaupt doesn't meen that the person in question want to accept that position.
So to eliminate confusion ,IMHO it would be best if people nominate themselfs.
Actually ,i don't want to run for President ,as i think i'm not the best man for the job at this point of my personal life.
I'm proud of have being "the first president" and actually have being at the foundation of this game.Although i never wanted to be the president in the first place.Most of all i'm glad this game is alive and kicking ,and that a foundation has been builded around a society that can last through time.Knowing that this game concept could last for years (someday maybe in MP) ,i can tell you the future of our nation has not always been so bright.And i want to thank the moderator's of this fine board ,as they have always been willing to help me.
Me myself never wanted to get all this attention ,although it has carry'd me through the game.Strange though having to stand in this position has taught me some strong lesson's about life.i'm sure future president's will encounter ingame situation's that they can strangly relate with in real life ,and the concept of a society is something that can be looked with from another point of view after those experiences.Hard to explain with my inferrior knowledge of the english language.
I don't state that all conclusion's taken from my point of View are by definition transformable to the real life and proven to be true ,as the game civ itself is not a real reflection of the dynamic's of a real society.But the social experience of the game is very interresting from the president's point of view,because it put's him in a ultimate social position ,and the responsibilety of leadership.
I know at the beginning of my term that i would make some mistake's eventually.I'm not perfect no'r want to be it.i think i did a good job ,not perfect ,but i did a lot of important work.In time when this game will have had about 5 or 10 president's ,there will be a norm for people to review a president ,i know i wont be rememberd bad.
Therefore ,i rather wouldn't want to be in a position of the president after the election's ,though still in a good position ,so that i can still coorperate in a administration ,and still do some work.
My aims ar for a bureaucratic position ,not one of leadership.Millitary leader for ex. doesn't interrest me a bit ,as that position is one of choosing millitary strategy's.This all depend's though of the future reformation's the following president will undertake.
But i want to work further on the bureacratic side of this game.
I want the "gouverment thread" to be the model of the following administration ,and i want to work further on the bureacratic organization of the game ,as i think i can work best from such a position.
My aim is thus to be Vice president/gouverner or any new position into a new bureacratic or rule system.
Geez ,i dont know yet what to aim for.
