Forty years to the day after it began.

You can read every issue (except the concluding series) online. No, it isn't 'girly.' Maybe a little bit in the beginning, but that's no reason to miss out on one of the best comic stories ever made. It's on par with Bone at least.

I've never been into it, but going by the artwork, I wouldn't consider it a "girly" thing. It's one style of fantasy storytelling among many.

There are a lot of guys who are into Fuzzy Knights - and the main characters in that webcomic are a couple of teddy bears, a stuffed cat, and a stuffed rabbit.

The first few issues are super campy, though. I don't blame people who read those and dismiss it as 'cutesy' or 'girly.'

I'll have to take your word on that, then. But if you enjoy them, that's the important thing, isn't it? Who cares if you're a guy who enjoys stories about elves; Tolkien was a guy who wrote about elves. Larry Elmore has painted and drawn many dozens of pictures of elves over the years.

You've got a lot of company, so just sit back and have fun.

If you're concerned that it may be considered more of a juvenile form of fantasy... my advice still stands. I still read and re-read one of the mystery series I got into when I was 10. One of the books I'm currently reading is Henry Reed, Inc.; it's a kids' book about a precocious 13-year-old boy who decides to make some money during his summer holidays and gets into all kinds of bizarre situations. One of my bookshelves is filled with Archie comics. Yes, I read those.

So relax. Sit back. Enjoy.
