Elon Musk: Force for anthropic advancement or self-serving con-artist?

Force for anthropic advancement again! I know the talk right now is centred mostly around the beautifully designed, from my humble perspective, Cybertaxi and the ArtDéco vibed Robovan but what really matters to me is the possibility of having an Optimus assistant in my house.

By Robovan do you mean the Cybertruck?
The Robovan is his latest vapourware vehicle

Brushed chrome, LED strips... all very futuristic, but could we have something that doesn't look like it belongs in a cyberpunk dystopia?

To me it looks like an overground rail wagon/engine. So not really futuristic, if you don't count that it is a "van". I am sure plenty such exist to replace "buses" or work in conjunction with them, but move on rails.
So, does the "robovan" have car-like wheels?

On a safety note, is this likely to kill more people unfortunate enough to crush into it, than if it had a regular design (eg in front)?

Elon Musk’s X has reportedly worked with the Trump campaign to censor material that could be harmful to the former president’s White House chances as part of a pattern of election interference that is unprecedented in U.S. history.

The looks was the last thing that bothered its creators. It's function over form, utilitarian design. Fits 20 people with a high ceiling, can be repurposed for cargo, probably other scenarios. How it looks is a direct function of the amount of available space that can be generated. So, basically, a box on wheels. At this point it makes as much sense to discuss the looks as it does to discuss the looks of the express train. For better or worse.

That sounds a bit like a transit van, and they actually exist.

I don't know with any certainty but I imagine not? Going up and over is generally less lethal than going boom and underneath to my understanding.

It looks cool enough for me.

Given that Melon Husk seems to think that Twitter being ‘an app for everything’ is the way forward, then no?

btw North Wales police has abandoned Twitter (including removing all its officers' accounts) because of Twitter's fanning the flames during the riots earlier this year.

It isn't half as cool/imposing as the Guild Navigator carrier:

I am sure it will cost in the neighborhood of a couple of hundred thousand dollars too.

The concept art pics had made it look like a Maus tank in size, but apparently it's only slightly larger than the cybertruck.

It reminds me of the Dustbuster Minivans GM had in the 90's.
