Not very productive. Also, looks like they have no idea about tech calculator?!? It is still possible to play without it, I must admit, but it makes life much easier. 
In general, to summarize, tech trade has been agreed upon as well as general direction of military build up for invasion. Unfortunately, they have not started on harbor build yet, so trade agreements must wait for some time.
We will be researching Currency and then Philosophy and Horse Back Riding whereas they pick up The Wheel and Construction. But they have to vote on it because they were thinking of researching Literature while still in the Ancient Age. We tried hard to persuade them it might be useless and apparently somewhat succeeded.

I think it would have made a point if you had said (or say in the next chat) this:
"We don't wish to talk about borders until we know the shape of your land so we can make a fair deal. There have been two curraghs exploring each side and still no end in sight!"
Or something like that to emphasis the point.

The mapmakers probably mixed the things up. They wanted to give all these empty tundras to us so that our JTs can hunt for barbarians and train their running and javelin-throwing skills. But in the end they got confised and gave us ivory. I suspect they were not very sober while they were making the "final touches" of the map.
