Embassy with "The Brotherhood"

Where have they been threatening us? I don't think it's reasonable to assume that they will attack us over it.

They did not threaten us, yet. But it might be worthwhile to lure them into attacking The Village. We'd get the war happyness. And they can'nt attack us short-term on our continent.

How exactly should we go about doing that? Mocking them? Attacking their players in other PBEMS?

Oh, wait...

:)

No, sooner or later they would demand it from us, as they fear us having a foothold on their continent. And if we reject to give it to them, they eventually would attack us.

BTW, we got an offer:

Dear Calis of the Flock,

let me put our offer on the table: we are willing to pay 150g for The Village.

With best Regards, Sir Lanzelot

At an absolute minimum, the city is worth 6 gpt (2 savings in unit support, 1 taxman, 1 uncorrupted coin, and producing wealth). 150 gold is reasonable for 6 gpt, since money now is better than money later, but I think that because of its location it is better for us to keep the city than sell it.

I agree with Chamnix on both points.

Yeah, tell them we're holding for now, but keeping our options open.

Proposed reply:

Dear Lanzelot of the Knights,

We see that The Village really has no high priority for The Brotherhood.

In this sense, we decided to keep the town for now.

Maybe at a later point of time, we can get into negotiations again.

With best regards
Calis of the Flock

From Lanzelot ~

"Dear Calis of the Flock,

Well, for us it is "just another town" that doesn't give us much more benefit than a settler. And we can rush a settler easily for 116g.
If 150g appears too low to you, just send us a counter-offer, whenever you are willing to sell again.

With Best Regards, Sir Lanzelot"

Declaration of War
Dear people of the Eagles,

we are bored... Our wifes keep gnawing on our ears about rain coming through the roof, lawns that need mowing and that it would be about time that we learn cooking too...
Anyway, we were quite glad when a cry for help reached us from overseas. A call to duty is always a nice excuse to escape from home, and so we gladly rushed to the defense of the poor widows and orphans in Kücheland. Therefore please allow us to finally mount our old battle horses again and join the fun!

Sir Lanzelot, Knight of the Round Table
