Embedding videos from other sites than Youtube?

I have a question : is it possible to link/embed videos in a post/reply from any other side other than Youtube?
And if it's possible, how does the embedded code work with this site?

Our BBCode guide suggests we also have [gametrailers] tags.

But I don't think they work.

If you paste a vimeo link (as Loppan Torkel has above), it sometimes automatically embeds it without the need for any special tags. I don't know why.
