END File

So here awhile back I noticed a random file in my C directory called "END". It's one of those files that does not show its file extension(if it even has one), and simply says that its file type is "file". And its size is 0 bytes. I think my computer creates a new one every now and then, since the date that the computer says it was created is after the first time I saw this file.

I've seen files of this same type before, but one being named "END" just makes it all the more ominous. I haven't tried deleting it, and I don't really feel threatened by it(as it hasn't caused any trouble yet), but does anyone know what this is and why it's here?

Did a search and it seems to have something to do with toolbars. Please have a look at this:
END file in c drive
Browser hijacking Scroll down a bit and look under conduit search.

C:\END file containing conduitOk message

I don't know if this thing would even cause any harm, but I'm gonna delete it anyway just to be safe.

May also want to run MalWarebytes or similar program to check on malware.
