First I have to say that I real love this modmod. I tried many but apart from some OOS-problems I did not see many things that really disturbed me.
One thing occurred me. Why is engineering corps a national wonder? I don't consider it as broken that several of them would be imbalanced.
That's my suggestion: Make engineering corps a normal building that can be built by a great general AND that can be build without a great general by defensive leaders (Logic probably suggests Industrious but this trait is quite good already). Would strengthen an otherwise very weak trait by offering a good defense against fireballs.
 
Yeah the national wonder part of it makes me think twice before placing it (and other great general buildings) in a city... same goes for the ratcatchers guild national wonder. Maybe its time to add a different kind of wonder that wont count towards the national limit... but also isn't a world wonder. Call it a provincial wonder, or something, that way it couldn't be built in multiple cities, but also wouldn't limit other good combinations of wonders.

Also IMO the military wonders from great generals should allow the FF weapons upgrades :)

Yes for the great general wonders I can say that for sure.
 
How come? There shouldn't be any issue to add more general wonders.
 
My most recent game still has a 2 national wonder limit per city. I couldn't add more general wonders or ratcatchers' guild to cities that had 2 national wonders. With so many new wonders either a new type of wonder is needed or the limit should probably be raised (which raising the limit could cause further balance issues where new type of wonders would lessen that impact).
 
perhaps I overlooked another national wonder. I will look at it if I play the save again.
 
According to the GlobalDefines, there isn't any National Wonder limit... Weird.
 
really? hrm... I'm going to have to go back and look at that save... that means there was a bug... I can't remember the wonder, but I remember that in older versions of Orbis the limit was gone, but then I couldn't place more than 2 wonders and I just assumed that the limit returned.
 
I just ran a test game to figure this out.... National wonders do not have a limit, however, if you build one general wonder in a city it limits any new general wonders in that city. National wonders did not limit the general wonders (which (i think) they did in my old save that no longer works :P).
 
So if you build Castra Legionis, you can't build Engineering Corps in the same city?

Correct. This only affects General wonders though - all other national wonders are still unlimited.

BTW: Many of the General wonders should be buffed. As it is the best wonder to have is the Military Academy, which adds XP to all land and sea units and gives access to two cool promos that I can't remember the names for right now (one gives lots of extra withdrawal chance and the other gives +50% XP for combat). The other General wonders just give XP to one particular unit type, and no access to promos or free promos or anything else (I think Castra Legionis used to but doesn't anymore). All GWs should be worth building in about equal measure, forcing a player that doesn't constantly vomit forth GGs to make some choices about which to build depending on their priorities. :mischief:
 
When you say "General" Wonders, do you mean there is another special class other than National? Or are these just "plain" Wonders like the Great Library?
 
What we mean when we say "General wonders" are national wonders that can be built only by sacrificing a great general in that city, such as Military Academy, Naval Academy, Castra Legionis, Arrow Tower, Engineering Corps and the like. ;)
