Congratulations to the Man Utd fans. (Hard to say being a Liverpool fan ;) )

It is amazing how far they have sunk. My brother is very disappointed.

I have a brother and an uncle who's Leeds supporters, so i guess i've always kinda like them. Shame to see how far theyve gone down, somebody really messed up there.

West Ham survive, thanks to Tevez... Any views on the whether Sheffield United ought to challenge the lack of a points deduction for Tevez, and whether they'd be morally justified in doing so ?

Let's make no mistake, without Tevez, the Hammers would be down.

It wouldn't do their image any good, but I think they'd be morally justified in doing so. If they could get the backing of Wigan, Fulham etc., clubs that survived, it would give their case more of a righteous (as opposed to sore-loserish) angle.

In other news, Portsmouth missed out on Europe, which is good; if they'd got into the UEFA Cup, they'd probably have gone down next season, I think.

    From my point of view:

Manager of the Season - Steve Coppell
Goalkeeper of the Season - Juusi Jasskaleinen
Central Defender of the Season - Nemanja Vidic
Wide Defender of the Season - Patrice Evra
Central Midfielder of the Season - Paul Scholes
Wide Midfielder of the Season - Cristiano Ronaldo
Striker of the Season - Dimitar Berbatov

I feel for Sheffield Utd quite a lot, over the season they showed a lot of heart and I think they also have more quality than Wigan. Have a feeling West Ham will be in the top half next season, with a massive transfer budget from Eggert and the players they have bought. An injustice in my opinion.

watched the game last night. It was what soccer is all about, excitement, drama and a lot of passion...of course one team had to go down in the end...for a neutral like me that's no issue, but I know how Sheffield supporters must feel...

now compare this exciting stuff with a lame F1 race and I don't know what the fuss about that so called sport is all about

It was an excellent end to the season. It was amazing all the permutations that could have happened. While West Ham won , they easily could have been relegated had some chances been taken by ManU, but this match did not matter to them. It was amazing watching the Sheffield Wigan match. I am still surprised that Wigan stayed up but had they not lost so many points when they wre leading, they would not have been in this situation.

    I've my own view.

    Manager - Steve Coppel
Goalkeeper of the Season - David James
Central Defender of the Season - Nemanja Vidic
Wide Defender of the Season - Steve Finnan
Central Midfielder of the Season - Paul Scholes
Wide Midfielder of the Season - Cristiano Ronaldo
Striker of the Season - Didier Drogba
Player of the Year - Didier Drogba
Young Player of the Year - Cristiano Ronaldo

Everyone should do this but I doubt if there would be much variation.

I agree with Steve Coppell being Manager of the Year. He's good.

Sheffield United are now trying to increase the number of teams in the prem to 21 so that they and West Ham can both stay up. Seriously, are they bad losers or what?

    link

I hope Warnock doesn't come back to the prem, i've had enough of him moaning on about top clubs with much more important things to think about playing weakened squads, it's just stupid.

Yes, that's pointless. The reason behind the legal case is that some clubs feel that West Ham should have gone down instead of Sheff Utd., so the only fair results are either a) Sheff Utd. stay relegated or b) West Ham get relegated and Sheff Utd. are reinstated. Having a situation in which both stay up would defeat the point of the entire case.

    Seems very unlikely.

    I don't really mind Warnock.

I like him. He's done a good job at every club he's been to - he took Scarborough into the Football league, for example.
