What whould you Vote and why?

I think I'll go back to voting Labour now that Tony has gone. I was voting LibDem's before. I would have voted Labour though if there was any chance the Tories would have been voted back into power.

I rip up or burn any of the filth that the BNP party shoves through my letter box.

Although I can't vote (UK citizen residing in a foreign country, and I haven't visited the UK since I was 10) I think I would go LibDem if I could. Labour just dropped the ball too seriously during Blair's term.

Is Brown really any better than Blair?

He has a bit more substance about him. It's early days yet though. He could still go Blair-like and then I'd be back to voting LibDems, unless of course the Tories looked like they would win.

I would vote Tory (if I could vote) but Cameron's too wishy-washy. So it's Lib Dem or Labour. I chose Labour because it's more likely that they'd get into power.

Lib Dems... they're the lesser of three evils. Depressing that my first vote will be against a party rather than for one.

My feelings exactly.

I think Brown has done a good job since he's been in office - for his party I mean. A lot of people turned against Blair and moved to either Cameron or Ming... but I think now that they've seen what Cameron is (or rather, isn't) about, I think they've moved back. Brown would be smart to call a quick election and I predict Labour will get back in, but with a lot more votes going to the Lib Dems than ever before, with the Tories losing a lot of support. Cameron was in a good position to take control but he's failed miserably.

I did turn against the Lib Dems after Kennedy was backstabbed, but they're the lesser of 3 evils so I'm going to have to pick them - and although he is a more silent politician (or maybe that's just the media?), he has announced some good policies (IMHO).

I have voted Lib Dem in very election since I got the vote in 2004... and I'll more than likely continue to do so... I don't think I could vote for the Conservatives even if it was a two horse race between them and the BNP... I'd move. I share a fair amount of ground with Labour, I just trust them less than I trust the Tories... at least those bigots aren't skillful enough to hide they're vileness...

The UK seriously needs out of the simple majority system... we wanna hold the government to account? Why the hell do we only want this power once every 5 years? As long as the Lib Dems are the only party playing this card, they're the lot I'll vote for... and yea... I'm aware of the Greens... waste of time...

Free the ballot box! Proportional representation for the people! ^_^

Coincidently Kristo, who are the moderate right wing parties? Coz none leap to mind...

Heh, this is my fear - that Labour will be easily electable again now that Blair's gone.

But is there any evidence that their policies have changed? (We're still getting ID cards, Brown seems to share the same pro-authoritarian stance etc.) Or do you mean you disliked Labour specifically because of something Blair did (e.g., misleading over WMD in Iraq)?

See, that's the thing. people talk about how much more substance Brown has than Blair... but he hasn't changed anything. Unless you were just voting against Blair because you didn't like his media persona, there's no reason to be switching back to Labour.

Probably the Lib Dems, if only because I'm still lamenting the loss of the closest Australian equivalent, the Democrats, who will will probably get wiped out in this year's election.

I've taken the test, it says I'm tory all the way: despite some of their domestic policies (I'd be pro-National ID), I support a lot of how they think.

I realize the BNP probably has racist underpinnings, but if you subtracted the sh!t about white genetic supremacy, I'd be almost 100% aligned with them.

Seriously. Even the alternative energy stuff.

...you're for arming the masses, destroying free trade, instituting race based segregation and removing equal rights for men and women?
