Tested with IE (CORE_AREA_EFFECT_PROMOTIONS=1):

- EE_Fasil_Ghebbi does not give PROMOTION_EE_FASIL_GHEBBI to Units around.
- Naval Units beginning adjacent to a Ship of the Line do not have +20% Defense as expected.

Fasil Ghebbi works if you build it normally. It does not work if you spawn it in the city using IGE. And yes, need to move units after it finishes at least once before it works, can try to fix that.


SotL bonus is fine, though it does not apply to the SotL itself. I think multiple SotLs will work with each other. I can tweak this behaviour to apply to itself in the DLL later, but this is minor.



Note that the defense bonus does not have a promotion icon.

And as I can see Gripsholm Castle also disappeared :p
I am actually not sure what happened with Gripsholm, now that you mention it. I do have memories of it. Checking my Github commits, it was already gone by v1.2.4 when I started working on this.

Seems that it was removed long ago.

Funny thing is, that I raised the cost of some WWs by 200 :c5production: or more and they are still cheaper than regular buildings of that tier! Whaaaat?!! VP, hello! Maybe I should raise the maximum :c5production: in last tier of Information Era and this consequently would raise the cost of intermediate WWs? @pineappledan? Any thoughts? @Recursive Is that intended? Look at the Seaport (1500 :c5production: comparing to 1250 :c5production: for others) or Atomic Era identical costs. It's probably one of the things that weren't updated since the Bronze Age :p

Same mess like with :c5culture: policy cost for WWs. If you don't know what I mean, here's the thing.

By the way, I noticed Solar Panels are cheaper than any other power plant.

Maybe? But even though is this necessary? Maybe the Museum of Modern Art should be a WW, so this could leave Smithsonian balancing to VP.

Is there any actual OP for this mod? With its current state?
American UW has the same functions as before, just name change to MoMA. I won't touch this.

I can't change the first post of this thread. I could move into a new thread, but that's lots of work to type out everything, and it's not like I intend to do any major changes from whatever is in the OP.

The reason the promotion is gone is because I'm using a DLL method instead of Lua, so it is not coming back.

If using IGE to spawn a wonder, I believe you have to spawn any dummies associated with it manually. From my experience they appear as ancient era buildings. Even then there can still be some weirdness, so for debugging it's best to build the wonder normally (you can still use the hurry production feature and whatnot in IGE to speed the process up).

I did this in MW in my current v0.13 beta which is in progress and not released. It would be good for you to add these values too, for people who do not play MW, but play EE. If you want, I can send you some code I wrote. It would save you some time.

I wrote a github issue about that. Base buildings have some mess too and it should be cleaned up, but as I know such cases in VP, it probably won't.

I can't change the first post of this thread. I could move into a new thread, but that's lots of work to type out everything, and it's not like I intend to do any major changes from whatever is in the OP.

Can you grant permission to @HungryForFood to edit first post of this thread? Something similar was done for Enhanced Naval Warfare mod, also by @Infixo where @Asterix Rage got such permission and could continue modding of that fantastic mod without problems.

I don't have the ability to change permissions for other users like this. I'm not sure if the forum software allows it to begin with if it's only for a single post - but I've asked in the staff forum.

If not then one of you can just write a new OP and I can edit the post for you, that's no problem.

Giving permissions for a single post like that would require considerable messing around with the forum software, there's no easy in-built solution.

I do observe that @Infixo has been last seen on the forums recently - why not ask him?

If not I can just edit the OP for you; let me know.
 
I had no idea you couldn't call for an icon when injecting via DLL.
It works fundamentally differently.

Old method: Lua grants you a promotion which gives you a defense boost when near a Ship of the Line.

New method: DLL directly gives you a defense bonus when near a Ship of the Line.
