Am I the only one who gets annoyed with the screen automatically jumping across the map like crazy every turn? If I'm involved with leading an army on one side of the map I don't want to be interrupted every other move by the screen taking me to the other side of the map to deal with some scout or work boat or whatnot. Why is there a button saying "a unit needs orders" that will take you to that unit, when the game takes you there without asking anyways? There have been instances where i finished moving one unit, then selected the one next to it and dragged a rout for it to go, but before releasing the mouse button, the screen jumped and selected a completely different unit, making me give that unit the order instead!

All this would just be a minor annoyance that I could overlook if it weren't for the disturbing fact that the game has on occasion crashed while making these rash jumps back an forth across the map!

An option to turn this auto-focus, or what you might call it, off would have been greatly appreciated. ...or maybe it's just me.

Yes, down with auto-focus! It's becoming really irritating now.

As you say, the 'A unit needs orders' button is more than sufficient for filling the role of focussing on stufff that needs doing, so an option to turn the auto-focus off would be very welcome.

It's also a lot less intelligent that the CIv 4 one. I press the "w" key to focus next unit a lot in Civ4. It's clever enough to pick the nearest one to the current one; however, in Civ V it just picks the next on it's internal list.
