Calling all Princes, Monarchs and Emperors!

I'm setting up a game of Civ to be played each night until completed. 2 hours per evening @ 8pm (english time) The game speed will be normal, map size large, there will be 18 civs (up to 13 human and 5 AI). Anyone not familiar with the EarthEvolution2 map - it's brilliant, just like the earth, except unlike the bts earth 18 map there is a lot more choice of leaders to be had.

First come, first serve on the civ choices, but please, dont sign up unless you are certain to make at least 70% of the sessions. This game really is for civfanatics only :king:

    AVAILABLE CIVILIZATIONS 4

    Spain - Pommes Mit Mayo
    Rome - Luthor_Saxburg
    Germany - Griffinite
    Viking - P1Sephiroth
    Russia - Amok Mossart
    Greece - 2metraninja
    Babylonia
    Persia
    India
    Khmer - Shizuko3
    China
    Japan - TheFragleader
    Korea - Kagamine

    AI CIVILIZATIONS 5

    Mongolia
    Carthage
    Egypt
    Zulu
    Celt

    Game Settings

    Map: EarthEvolution2 Download - http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=344739
    Game Speed: Normal
    Map Size: Large
    AI Level: Prince
    Raging Barbarians
    No City Razing
    No Tech Tech Trading
    No Tribal Villages
    Turn Timer: Fast
    Victories: All Except Time

There may be a rule where if you are absent from a session your AI may not be attacked by another player for that session. Miss two straight sessions and on the second you're fair game.

My guess is the game will last up to ten days.

I am tempted to sign in, but first I am not sure if I will have the time, and second - I see some obvious flaws from the beginning - there are 6 nations in east Asia, and 3 in west Asia - thats 9 civs in Asia + 5 in Europe.. I think that is too much crowded for a large map. It is overcrowded even for a huge map.

Have you ever tried this setup?

I have done some tests and scrutinised the map in paint for quite a time, made revisions on my initial plans (the removal of all american civs to name one). I'm not saying that all the civs starts are equal (when are they in civ?) but I have tried to space the civs and balance the game the best I could.

Also of course Asia is huge compared to Europe.

I wouldn't mind playing but I can't really guarantee a high percentage of attendance... there are times when I can't really play... so, if there is an empty slot just before the game I could take it (so that I don't steal anybody's place) and play.

Probably I will be targetted soon and disappear soon but... what the heck... I'm willing to try... if you don't see a problem with it.

I have my preferences but (due to my restrictions) I'll take whatever is left (if any).

Extra note: if you start the game on the 2nd week of the month :)please:) my chances of playing more times are higher!

    hello :)

There will be a change to the map, after a recent test I realised that the game needs Celt AI. The question is which civ to lose? Hmm, maybe Greece or Babylon. I will update the map image when I have made a decision.

I will wait for now and see if anyone else shows interest. I would certainly like a few more than 3 or 4.

It may take awhile but if there is more interest I will message those already signed up.

I am interested. Can beat the AI on monarch, but this will be my first multiplayer. Will take Russia since I was born in Moscow.

Sounds like a nice setup. Not that experienced with MP (or civ4 for that matter :mischief: used to civ3 games) but I'll take a place if this is still running. Seems a little quiet right now.
And for a civ I'll go for... Germany.

Ok guys, I check in here every few days and it seems we may get this going after all. I will update the thread soon with the new entrants and a couple of other things. Seems we have about 5 or 6 players now, we might get this thing going yet. I'd like another 1 or 2 players so might wait another week.

I will be in touch with you guys soon via PM (or email if you prefer)

Or, If we end up not getting anyone, we could always do an SG.
