So, for a few weeks now I have had an issue with my game. In short:
When I load up, select a leader, map etc. and click play, the game shows "Loading, Please Wait" (image attached) but instead of going into the loading screen with the leader, it stays there for about 5 - 10 minutes after which it goes back to main menu. Why this happens is beyond me. I would say its because of Rise and Fall, but i played one game with R&F and it was fine so unless something changed, I don't think it is that. To be clear, before a few weeks ago, the game worked perfectly fine.

- Verified Integrity of game cache
- Created an exclusion for Civ VI in windows defender
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- Deleted all Civ VI files and reinstalled the game
- Disabled all mods
