I started a game... as the Authorities. Did a great job, very intense and fun. Only on the first few turns, the onslaught of zombies hasn't hit yet, so I feel confident, but it probably won't last long!
You will probably experience a slow time when the Zombies are building Improvements... Take advantage of it :)

I see you have yet to find a way to implement a flame tank. Any relationship between the fact that I am a habitual wielder of farming power and my love for the smell of napalmed zombies in the morning (it smells like victory) is a coincidence.

I've just started as The Survivors. Vuldacon, you sadist! I've just seen what you placed around Tokugawa's building. And this is only on Mature/Monarch!

btw, why do you keep nerfing the Zombie Nurses? In earlier editions they were quite the threat and now they're 12.8.2 which, compared to the regular Zombies' 12.9.1., is not really much. Unless you wanted the regular Zombies to take the hits and the nurses to still attack… :scan:

Check the Hit Points 4... that makes the Zombie Nurses Much Stronger :)

Yes, that was my initial reaction on Turn 1. I played the first two full days, recovered the Hospital and Coast Guard (Free AEGIS Cruisers! :woohoo:), rolled in from both sides onto the Graveyard.

Damn your coyotes, damn them, they cost me two Spunky Kids. But not Timmy, he's smarter.

Anyway, as of Day 3, 00:00 hours, a.k.a. 12 a.m., we have encircled the Paradise Resort and it should fall by noon.

A most useful tactic: use Vuldacon to destroy a city's infrastructure by attacking Zombie Workers (this will also cost them more popheads, mwa-ha-ha) and that ensures that the city is quickly bereft of repair facilities, access to the sewer grid and possibly one or two unit-spawning buildings (usually a Zombie Nurse Station). The fact that the Artificial Idiot automatically sends all the Zombie Workers back into town is an especially happy misfortune for it. ^_^

Takhisis... The Zombies cannot build Workers... They are enslaved by Sneaky Zombies. The Zombies have plenty of Zombie Workers from the start and the reason they send them to a Building you attack is because they can... Just the Zombies trying to keep their Building. :)
Zombie Workers use the Sewers and have a 6 Defense with 2 Hit Points.

Yes, those Coyotes enjoy a good Spunky Kid Snack

The AI Zombies do a good job of keeping a player spread out when the Player Helps Defend the Other Human Factions.
It is wise to Help the Other Human Factions to prevent the Zombies from becoming Stronger. The Player needs the Other Human Factions to survive in order to be able to Trade to get Abilities (Techs) faster.

When Helping the Other Human Factions, using good timing, the Player can allow the Zombies to Capture a Building then the Player can Capture it. This helps the Player have time to gain Strong Units to place in captured Buildings and Keep them. It also keeps the Player on Good Terms with the Other Human Factions. If the Player does not help, the Other Human Factions will be Captured by the Zombies.

I believe players will be surprised by the Numbers of Units the Zombies produce from a limited number of Buildings as the Game continues.

The Zombies now go for the Coffee Plantation and Clem's Lodge the same as the Wild Boar Inn and Zeb's Farm.

Good Luck and Hope you have Fun with the Game.

Then alas, poor workers then.
Westward expansion is now complete, peaking with the occupation of Snorkel Beach. Now (at 8 pm., Day 3) it's on for the Church and Kitchen.

I've found out that if you attack a sea unit with a land unit (in a city) then your stealth attack will revert to normal and be directed against the single best defender.

btw you haven't updated the Get me the President icon.

Very fun! Played the authorities currently, will play as one of the weaker factions next. I initially felt very underpowered and nervous for the zombie onslaught. But alot of times, the zombies passed me up since they go for the weaker farmers survivors and company instead. I wasn't sure how to take down the zombie cities at first, but once you get Champions, the constant kills they can make multiplies new Champions pretty quickly. Now I have a huge force of them on Day 4, they are just steamrolling zombie cities, and they are safe to roam around by themselves most of the time picking off zombies. I think the Zombies are the ones that are scared now! Zombies get wiped out as soon as they leave their cities, and the map is full of survivors and company, and farmers all over the place.

But this is mostly only due to the very powerful bombardment. If that wasn't there, it would be a different story for sure and ten times more difficult!

tom2050... Check the Game Concepts "Sated Alpha Zombies". Look at the List to see how many are in each Starting Zombie Building.
I managed to get 53 Champions by the end of a test game. The Research Center and Paradise Mortuary are the Tough Zombie Buildings. I almost always capture Paradise Mortuary last.

see Dark Sky entries.

The kitchen can fall really easily.

I've found that an efficient strategy can work for the first 2-4 days. Load the first two Road Warriors with any Champions or, failing that, any unit with a range of 2 and at least 2 shots e.g. Mike Rush. Using a Balloon and/or the dogs spawned by Scraps, you can just clear the streets on the East and North. In fact, the Farmers are using their Co-Prospectors to attack the Sated Alpha Zombies (with predictable results, 1-2 HP taken from a SAZ with each attack. If the Zombies can really be contained that way (there's always some coffin Zombies spawning around Snorkel Beach, but Mike Rush + one Champion and some Badasses does the trick) then advancing is easy. Especially if you screw up by leaving Fuji the Attack Dog unprotected out in the middle of nowhere and a Putrid Zombie bungles up the attack. :crazyeye:
 Didn't plan on it :)
Regardless of the man's politics, a discussion which belongs in another forum, what scenario can be more outlandish than to call reality star/playboy Trump as ‘da president’?

... use Vuldacon to destroy a city's infrastructure ...
Definitely a quote worthy of use out of context. That just sounds too much like something from a Transformers or Avengers movie - or maybe a 1960s technicolor kaiju battle-royale.

Takhisis... As I have mentioned, the manner in which a player plays the game "Programs" that game accordingly.
This means that the AI is responding to moves made by the player and this affects the game play.

I intentionally want each player to experience their own game play and discover the plethora of Strategies possible.
My problem is that because I made the game, I play my way and know what will happen as well as playing my personal strategy.
What may seem easy does become more Challenging but I am certain most will Fair Very Well because If you hang in there you will have Great Power.

Definitely a quote worthy of use out of context. That just sounds too much like something from a Transformers or Avengers movie - or maybe a 1960s technicolor kaiju battle-royale.
Yes it does

Especially as the Vuldacon in question is a ninja that (according to the graphics) is larger than the buildings he attacks. I was thinking of him climbing the spire of the Paradise City Radio Station with Miss Tokugawa in one hand and avoiding attacks from Zombie Bomber Bats, but that's just me.

btw the Authorities AI definitely uses the immobile artillery at the Military Base. Somehow the Artificial Idiot stations Giant Squid right at the entrance.

I've just proven that the City Utilities can be taken very easily. One Dalek plus two Road Warriors with 2 Champions each takes it in at most 4 turns. And the good thing is that the two cars can blast through and you can simply beam the little machine into the thick of it.

btw the Dalek is wheeled but can beam down onto buildings. Is this meant to happen? Colossi and some other units are wheeled.

Takhisis... all is intended. especially City Utilities. You Prove nothing.
Play the game and see how it goes for YOU. Those buildings are easy to capture and meant to be so.

The Dalek is meant to beam down into buildings.

Colossus are meant to be wheeled as are all other units flagged as such.

IF you require a special Biq that you cannot understand or beat. I can accommodate you.
Are you intentionally trying to find fault according to what you want?

I do not need your repeated reports concerning your game or your opinions bent on slamming it all.
...just play and see how you do.

If you find it all too easy or not of your liking.... don;t play it.

Erm, I was just providing some commentary on how I found it. I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to. I'll stop posting.
