On joining secret societies: for Voidsingers, you can do it via discovering it in a tribal village, or later in the game if you have enough diplomatic visibility with someone who has it. Presumably the latter would apply to all secret societies.

Secret Society UBs override any Civ UBs (e.g. Madrasa). Also, previously built UBs will upgrade to the SS UB.

Suggestion was suit and tie Teddy would have more new gameplay bonuses as Rough Rider Teddy has more of the old Teddy (which makes it more weird that they are only revealing Rough Rider Teddy at this point)

Relics (Relic of the Void) are unique to Voidsinger SS. Around 30 in the game.
For those asking about City-State bonuses, we have that answer for you. At 1 Envoy, you get +1 yield in your capital and on matching Tier 1 buildings. At 3 Envoys, you get +2 yield on the Consulate and matching Tier 2 buildings. At 6 Envoys, you get +3 yield on the Chancery and matching Tier 3 buildings.
