Ethiopia UHV 1.16: How do you get Orthodoxy to spread to you?

I don't really understand how to get Orthodoxy to spread to me, as far as I know it's out of my control.

Is there a trick to make it spread to you faster or is this UHV just unfair?

AFAIK you are supposed to generate a great prophet who can spread your "regional" religion even if you are pagan.
