Ethnic Diverse Citystyles

    I agree from what I have seen they are being really lazy on some of the new ethnic units.

    Glad to know Geo that you're working on a indian city set of sorts. :)

    Oh, but the cityset xml'ing was already done. It's only the cottages now. ;)

    The way city art is dealt with is generally the same, but now every building is also dealt with seperately. I believe this is for the villages.

    Weird. A quick search didn't reveal where cottages are xml'd now.
    City buildings are a bit easier now since there not in the Lsystem file anymore.

    They're not? From my own tweaking, I could still find them there. I got all these strange mixed styles though, and some blanko textures. And yes, I do know how to add new city styles manually.

    Cityset xml I have found, the Civ4CityLSystem file still exists in BtS. It's the cottage improvement xml I can't find atm, since the Civ4PloLSystem file isn't used in BtS.
    If you have found it, in which file?

    Thanks. I too hope it goes smoothly.
    From what I've seen sofar of the BtS xml structure, the citystyles themself won't be a problem. I just have to find the xml file for the cottage improvement.

    In other news, all the xml for the Warlords version is done, and sepamu's era-specific fishing boats are included. Now only some testing needs to be done if all shows as intended. If so, I can upload this tomorrow.

    Is there a section of XML where the map improvements are? Maybe its(the cottage improvement) somewhere there? Just trying to help.

    Alternately why not ask someone like Impaler[WrG]? He was a coder for BtS,
    he wrote the modules part.

    Maybe that was untouched like traits so there was no need to put it in the BtS folder.

    ImprovmentInfos.xml can be found in BtS and it has a basic (non graphical) info for all improvements but they only included that cause theirs one new improvement, cottages didn't change at all. The graphical stuff is as SniperRabbit says unchanged from Vanilla Civ4 so look on the Assets/Buildings/Civ4PlotLsystem.xml file for the cottage 'mini' buildings and all the other Improvements are defined.

    Ah thanks. This means I can simply copy my Civ4PlotLSsystem.xml file to BtS (in a new modfolder of course) unaltered.
    My, this is going to be too easy. :D

    You know we really could use a better graphic for the Forest Preserve Improvement, its currently using a pasture which is IMHO kind lame :rolleyes:

    Yeah, some wild animals wandering around the tile would be better, dependent on whether the improvement was on a jungle (giraffe/elephant) or forest (beaver/deer).
