At this moment, I haven't got a clue how the module system (in BtS) is working exactly.
Anyway, I *did* read somewhere the Civ4CityLSystem.xml file falls outside the scope of the module system, so chances are slim if this is true.
But I don't think adding modules to this mod should be a big problem. It only has 4 xml files, and I reckon the Civ4CityLSystem -and Civ4PlotLSystem files won't ever need changing. GlobalTypes and CIV4CivilizationInfos should fall within the module system.

I think it would be spectacular if you could use this mod to give any other mod diverse city styles. But I suppose using the modular system you can do the reverse, give this mod the capabilities of other mods.

By the way how goes the BtS version? Did Impalier's advice help?

Cool I can't wait! Did you see my PM about the palace graphics for the Mesoamericans?

    :yup:
I'll sure forward it to any artist I can snare creating models for the mod.

    Progress report:
As far as I can see, only the city facilities like new palaces and such need to be implemented. Once I figure out where I need to put these in now testing can begin.

Palaces should be unchanged from vanilla right? They only changed the city styles as far as I know.

Well, sofar I didn't manage to change the outlook of palaces according to the artstyles. :(
A readup on the modding guide Kael&gang released doesn't make me the wiser either.
Which is weird, since the graphics from walls, harbors and lighthouses are still determined in the LSystem file, and those show fine in the mod. But if I put a syntax of mine inthere to change a building's outlook in a later era it doesn't show ingame.

This may be a stupid question, but will this mod work with vanilla Civ 4 (ie. no Warlords)? If not, is there an earlier version that will?

I'll ask Impalier to help you.

With some adaptations (removing Warlord buildings -and civs in the appropriate files) it should work.
The easiest way IMO is to use Civ4 files and copy the mod's chances to them.

Might need it, I'm almost at the end of syntax tricks I can try.

Yep, all works fine now. :)

The only drawback with the new LSystem is that you can't have different node sizes for the same building, this is what kept me on the wrong track for a while. :(
Another thing is that the scaling is off for some buildings. Need to look them all over before I can release the mod. For instance the stadium was suddenly twice as big. And for the hardcores among you, during testing I already discovered a unit bug for the European Warelephant. 't Will be corrected in this mod. ;)

The size parts were moved down the file.

I think it's ready now. Just need to take some screenshots and upload the whole package.
