An M-unit requested by Plotinus. I think it looks pretty good. Mixed death and fortify included, if you don't like 'em, you can link to the Firaxis spearman sounds.

    Original done by Utahjazz7.

Excellent! Just what I imagined. Thank you very much, Mr Will.

This unit is going to represent the "shield wall" tactic used in late antiquity and the Dark Ages, when you had your troops basically stand in a line, lock their shields together, and poke their spears over the top - the kind of strategy used by the English in the Battle of Hastings, as represented in the Bayeux Tapestry. Pretty high defensive rating, but not so good on the offence.

I'll consider it, but I'm doing another request now.

Ah! I've found a problem with this, alas. Some of the animations (in fact, all of them apart from Run and Attack) are wrong - the boxes used in the storyboards are too big. These animations are therefore displayed too low, leading to strangeness when you use the unit in the game. Presumably this can be fixed with a bit of copy-and-pasting but I don't know how to go about it to make sure everything is aligned correctly... any ideas?
