One thing is nice: you want add Bersekr(axeman) and Denmark do not have acces to copper/iron on their pensisula:).

Byzantine flag: this needs Fix for people like me who use old fix.

Sulleiman: in 3.1 is really weak to attack on Byzantines, or other actions.

Amsterdam and some cities need walls because thay are easy to take them.

Some wonders needs resources which will double production, because Industrious trait is really strong now.

Yes, and I think Catholicism is still too early and powerful...

Nerf Industrious-ness.... :) Actually right after Civ4 came out I tweaked the traits and did lower this and Philosophical by 1/2.

And I agree that Catholicism is still early, but only to the player. I don't think the AI ever gets it before 750BC, whereas I can get it by 2000BC with luck. And it spreads like wildfire.

When I make a beeline for it I usually get it inthe 2000s BC. Of course I have never allowed the AI to research it.

Health has been a real issue for me, and rightly so, whilst the Muslims in the East won't give me their clams due to my pro-catholic foreign-policy... Does anyone else think that perhaps some luxuries should be replaced with health resources? It would make the colonies a necessity and add a bit more SPICE to the game. Pun intended.
Is it possible to play this mod online? I have not played the original game AT ALL since AG has masterminded this mod. Would anyone be interested in a long term marathon game if this was indeed possible?
Also, are there going to be special units in the next update? That would be cool.

Health is not a big problem for me, I always have problem with happynes, often on start.

    Look:
    wheat +1(+1 granary)
    cows/pig/deer/sheep +1([later]+1 supermarket)
    clam/fish/crab +1(+1 harbor)
    wine/banana/spices/sugar +1 with grocer(banana +1)
    Aqueduct +2
    (later)Hospital +3
    (later)Genetics +3
    + dificullty
    +/- expansive trait
+ forests(I still keep 4/6 forest for city)
    result:
    early game: 2 + 2->4 + 2->3 + 2=8->11 only from resources+aqeuduct
    later game: 2 + 4->8 + 2->3(4->6 in coastal) + 2-5 + 2 + 3 + 3 = 20->28(22->30 coastal)

    Happines:
    silver/(later)gold/(later)gems +1(+1 Forge)
    furs/(later)ivory/whales/(later)silks +1(+1 market)
    wine/(later)spices/(later)sugar +1
    dye/incense +1(+1 theatre/cathedral)
    (later)+other collonies
    religion +1, temple +1,cathedral +2
    theatre/coloseum +1(+ per culture adjust)
    (later) movies/musicals/broadway +1(+1 tower)
    + dificulty level
    result:
    early game:0->1 + 0->4 + 0->2 + 2->4 + 2 = 4->13
    later game:1->3 + 4->8 + 1->3 + 2->4 + 2->4 + 2 + 2->6 = 14->30

you still have enough +health resources, +happy resources are really problem, in early game can help cullture adjust but it slows research....

Just dropped by to give feedback:

Playing on Emperor, Italy 10 civ map, marathon speed.

Got very high happiness in the mid game, almost to a point that its no fun no more...

Getting catholic holy city seems to be very powerfull giving me the opportunity to go for 100% sience trouhout the most of the game. (18civ scen this is even more obvious)

Tech speed is way to fast on marathon speed aleast.

I'd be interested in doing a long term PBEM game using Pitboss or something. That would be sweet :D

There is a fairly good chance that I will end up making a new units xml file this weekend with the UU's for every civ. So if there is something you want changed in the list say it now please!
The format is (strength, movement, cost)
My plan also is to just remove the resource requirement for UU's so that every civ can be guaranteed to build their units.

Gunner, I am also finishing my map version for the 18-civ EE.
Could it be that the UUs-version be put together with the new and maybe improved map?

(AG would check my map and give approval if it merits that)

A question to all folks here!

I am doing the check of the map,
right now for Iberia, and hey:

Why is Burgos at SOUTH of the river that flows
from NW of Zaragoza to the Ocean straight to the west?

On the real map, Burgos is way more to the north and east,
mybe 2 tiles north and 2 tiles east!

OK, I see it is for gameplay reasons,
to have a starting point there.

But then let it be not Burgos but Salamanca,
    if history allows it...

I am going to check that...

    EDIT:
Well, I see that Burgos is the historical capital...

Well... then just what to do?

The Barbarian city Seville also should be renamed Cordoba - if we take geography...
Or if we keep Seville, the city should be put more to the west (2 tiles).

    EDIT:
I moved Seville two tiles to the west

    My small story:

I am playing game with Byzantine empire(prince) now. Early i built my 2nd and 3rd city, builded 2 wonders(stonehenge+oracle[free tech: Theology]) next few workers and archers(barbarian invasion)-> next cities on balcan and 1 into Anatolia, i had small financial troubles until my religion come(orthodox) and currency was researched, i conquered greece and had war with suleiman(he had only archers) in which I conquered 3-4 his cities. For whole game i lead in techs.

My world: 1/2 is catholic(lead by Mathias the Just:() next 1/2 is orthodox.

My plans: kill Suleiman and declare big medieval war in europe(Catholics vs. Orthodoxs).

    only 450AD now.

EDIT - on the 23rd of January:

In this post I submitted my revision of the EE3 Expanded map a few days before.

Since then, AG, creator of EE3 finalized and put this version in the opening post,
so if interested, check it there!

So, I have removed the atteched files from here and copy here the change log:

CHANGES MADE TO MAP OF EE3 EXPANDED:

    HUNGARY

    - Lake Balaton area changed: some forests are moved, hills added

    - The Buda area is changed, Buda itself is on a hill
Horse erased from west of Buda and put it south of it, 2 tiles down the corn

    - Wine is removed from the tile roughly 4 tiles south of Buda
Wine added to tile that is a hill at the Tisza, 4 tiles east of Buda and 2 tiles south of a silver
Deer removed from SW tile from this new wine/hill

    - River Tisza gets a small branch

    - Changed the mountains and plains of the South-Eastern part of the Carpathian mountains.

    LAKES

    - Added Lake Boden
    River around it arranged.

    - Added Lake Geneve
    River around it arranged.

    GREAT BRITAIN

    - Rivers arranged in England

    - Rivers added to Scotland

    - Rivers added and arranged in Ireland

    - Deleted Barbarian city Cork
(I think we should England should be a helped a little)

BIG RIVERS FROM THE ALPS TO THE NORTHERN SEAS

    - More plains and forests added near the Alps
    Riverbeds kept as grass

    FRANCE

    - River Garonne is redrawn

    - River Loire is longer

    - River Rhone has now the River Saone branch in the north

    - In the north, River Orse now joins River Seine

    - Plains and grass tile arranged in France

    IBERIA

    - Arranged rivers – they are now a bit longer

    - Changed the area of Sierra Nevada in the south

    - Added some mountains near Burgos and Zaragoza

    ITALY

    - Sicily: Mt. Etna is placed on the map

    - Arranged the River Po basin and area of Venice

    ADRIA REGION

    - Changed many of the tiles to plains in the Dinari Mts.
    (Former Yugoslavia)

    BALKAN

    - Changed the riverbed of Danube as it flows through Romania to the Black Sea – more grass.

    - Added River Marica near Constantinople

    - Deleted one wheat AND one fish from Constantinople,
(I feel that Byzantine are too strong, especially with the river added)

    - Added a fish at south coast of Black Sea for Turkey.

    - Added a fish for the coast of Tarsus
(to strengthen the Ottomans a little)

    - Added River Prut that flows into the Danube

    RUSSIA

I feel that this BIg Bear is too strong, so:
    - 1 deer erased near Moscow.
    - 1 cow erased near Novgorod.

    - Barbarian city Kursk is added east of Kiev.

    NORTH AFRICA

    - Some rivers added

    - I think there are far too few barbarians there so in addition:
    Oran
    Algir

    - And also all the African Barbs get extra sea bonuses.
