I have used the CK2 converter to see how the Norse game I did back (I returned to it recently to win the civil war and to conquer the last independent forces) to see the madness and joy of seeing the Scandinavian Empire in EU4. On the down side waiting will be needed as the borders reveal themselves and the national decisions that are special for the Norse are reserved for a holy order in CK2 as oppose to any Norse ruled empire. Still: it is fun seeing the sight and seeing how massive the Inca and Aztec empires are thanks to the Sunset Invasion DLC for CK2 carrying over into EU4! :D

Got this last night and had a bit of time to try it out. Warring seems harder now, or maybe it's just different and I haven't figured it out yet. Playing as France, won the initial war against England and got a few of my rightful lands back pretty easily. Then my next war was against Burgandy and I got my clock cleaned. Not really sure what happened there, I should have outclassed Burgandy, but somehow they managed to have like twice as many troops as me, and as soon as I'd destroy an army of their's another would appear. It's like I was fighting the freaking Burgandy Horde, they just kept coming somehow. Clearly there is something going on here that I need to figure out.

I think the AI is using the loans system to the point of borderline abuse. Yet they always seem capable of paying back loans, interest and all. I think they're getting a few cheeky bonuses to be honest.

Meh. I got stomped as Byzantium. Everyone I wanted to kill had protection from major powers.

I didn't like Poland either, which is sad cause in CK2 its my fave. In the end I went Ireland and at the cost of money and stability easily smacked down every other Irish province except Meath cause it's England. I got a decent general, 2/1/4/1. Sadly the 4 is in maneuver but w/e he kicked ass. Planning to possibly go for Scotland to build up enough to claim Meath, and then form Ireland.

Then I'll probably claim England and start positioning to colonize.

I don't know about EU4 cause I haven't had enough time to play it yet but in 3 Maneuver was totes sweet, I seriously would love any general with 4 Maneuver. Being able to outrun enemy armies that you have beaten so that you are waiting for them when they finish their retreat is just so, so good. Sweet, sweet total annihilation of enemy forces.

Ah, okay I see how that would be great.

Sadly I am so ing poor with like 50cash owed in loans. Why is Ireland so poor? I can't even afford level 1 Advisors in any sections.

And even better to see the buns become part of the game >=D (if only for all the anti-DLC people complaining "NOT FUNNY PARADOX")
