You know what? I've just got it. Ok don't ask me where and how, you know that well.
So I think I'll try it tonight. But I'm also hesitating between this game and my gotm. And of course I'm quite busy working too

But anyway, has anybody played it? Do you have some tips to give me?

PS: and I must also try Diablo2 lord of destruction. Pfff, life is hard sometimes... I hope somebody would play with me for an online game.

Hey GK I have played it some - really like it, but like you I will probably finish my GotM before I start playing it too much!!!

But the game looks great and several of my friends love it..... But I have had some difficulties playing some of the missions in the game - there should be a very important update on the homepage to fix a few of those problems. But it's the Grand Campaign that is the major thing in the game.

I have EU and have played it a few times. There is a very steep learning curve and the music really gets on my nerves, but otherwise it is a really great game. I am just not very good at it yet.

I'm so tired of being tired... Sure as night will follow day... Most things I worry about, never happen anyway...

<FONT face="tahoma">I have it...legally also I might add!
I got tired of it because I just couldn't figure out how to get trade down. It always seemed like I was shooting in the dark with that. Plus, it was annoying that the game took up the full screen. I hope Civ3 stays like Civ2 in the way it doesn't steal the whole computer from you.</FONT f>

I've just bought that game too. I'll play it as soon as I finish building up my PC...

I got this two weeks ago and I have played nothing else since. Nor do I anticipate that changing for a while.

It is for me.

The design addresses the period and the scale is well thought out.
The presentation is appealing.
The interface is more than adequate.
The developers know about history.
It is strategic and lacks the mindless obsession with disproportionate military detail that some other strategic games have been drifting towards.(<IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/biggrin.gif" border=0>)
It has sufficient complexity to ensure it is much more than a one day wonder.
There is a ton of detail, but it is all neatly hidden away from the main interface.
It seems to have an active, enthusiastic, friendly, intelligent and knowledgeable online forum and mp community.
I'm sure the experts will already have found flaws that might need addressing in the future but you don't have to worry about that sort of thing the first few times you play anyway.
The forum has a large topic on what everyone wants to see in EUII.

Sounds much like civ (with one minor exception<IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>).

Of course if you don't like history or if The Age of Reconnaissance and on into the beginning of the Age of Revolutions is not your thing, then you may not enjoy it quite so much.

By the way the verbose manual is best used (if atall) after you have played a bit, but even better is to look at all the FAQs on the forum.

Apart from all that, I am thoroughly enjoying it so far!

Oh! and did I mention that someday I hope to conquer the world from Scotland. Despite its remote, weak and poor situation at that time.
