Here is a list they have under a map of the states and DC relabeled for the different countries.

1. California, it is often said, would be the world’s sixth- or seventh-largest economy if it was a separate country. Actually, that would be the eighth, according to this map, as France (with a GDP of $2,15 trillion) is #8 on the aforementioned list.

People often don't realize the true economic superpower the United States is; they often focus on the military might, but that power is easily eclipsed by its economic capability.

Just imagine what the US could do if it's oil refineries weren't over 30 years out of date and were not being forced to work at something like 130% original designed capacity! If the US had new refineries gas would be a lot cheaper and the people would have even more money to throw back into the economy.

Wikipedia does it, and their source is the IMF in the link I posted, there is another similar list on wiki from the World Bank.

Both have New York close behind Texas

The brazilian economy, in CER, is of about 1.1 trillion dollars, not 625 billions (in PPP it is 1.7 trillion USD).
