Aren't you the same person who constantly bashed McCain and Bush and hailed all things Obama? That is far from being moderate. Plus I have no idea where you live.
There is a reasoning behind it. For Bush, I disagreed with him very strongly with his views on the Iraq War, how his administration mishandled Katrina, Gitmo, and only letting republicans into the justice dept.
For McCain, I do not agree with his idea of taxing people who have gotten Heath insurance through their employers, same policies in forgen affairs and the economy. I did not especialy liked his idea of remaining in Iraq for 100 years.

You are ill informed. It's not Obamas fault. This all happened under Bush's administration. Obama was not when sworn in yet when the economy tanked. It's premature to blame Obama for the mess when he inherited the mess from Bush.

This was not a one time thing for her. She had stated the 500 million comment elsewhere. If you listen to how she says it, she never actually questions the number. It is sad to say, but she has said much dumber things. This even includes other comments on the stimulus package. Please, do not also forget her statement concerning the support of abortion being a Catholic thing and her interesting drill comments in Denver during the DNC.
If someone wants me to do so, I will try to dig some of it up, although I would appreciate some help. Maybe she said something I have not remembered or heard, too.

This is true, but the other is true as well.
The economy tanked for a year but we did not start seeing massive layoffs until October when it was clear that Obama was going to take office. Granted, I will say that the majority of the jobs lost are due to the natural economic slow down. However, I would be willing to bet that a good portion of those losses are due to companies hedging their bets on rapid increases in taxation that will not allow them to sustain jobs anyway. They're cutting their losses before hand and anticipating Obama's economic policies. But again, the majority are from the Bush economy.

I find that gaffes like this are only really good for a one time laugh. But I will always be astounded when someone displays a genuine ignorance, like some of Biden's worst outtakes or 1 out of every 5 statements made by Bush. But the Daily Show are opportunists, they've jumped on Biden more than a few times.
In the 90s, Stewart & Kilbourn ripped on Clinton all the time, and between 2001-2006 the show made fun of how ineffectual the dems were. However, for the majority of the Stewart years, they've mainly concentrated on the GOP, with it really escalating during the 2004 election and continuing ever since.
Keep in mind though, that they make fun of the news/media quite often as well.

It's possible to be very politicised and funny at the same time. Family Guy does it. They obvioulsy favour the Dems, and make it quite clear, but the show is not a pamphlet. The last few times I watched the Daily Show (during the american elections), it was little more than a pamphlet, and not a funny one. I never watched it again, and don't plan to.
Meh. It's not bad, and it's more equal opportunity than the other stuff my roommate likes to watch (like basically all of MSNBC). They recently had Dev Patel on the show, for example, which was awesome.

It's really funny how the Bush administration only started killing the economy under a democratic congress. Clinton can claim all his glory from his conservative government, not from his administration. Obama and the liberal goons are killing jobs by planning on taxing businesses. If your small business makes more than 250,000 a year you're out of luck. I know very few small businesses that make less that that, unless it's a flower shop.
