Few days ago finnished the most non violent game of CIV i ever had. Won by the space race. Durring the whole game I declared war only once, when I destroyed the Korean civilization and it was on the beggining of he game. Had few wars after that, and they were strictly defencive.

Usually I kill all of them, but this time I really wanted to do it the other way arround.

In each game (including the non violent one) at one point of time I have 10 unhappy civs claming that all other players are consirned because I am a villan. Is this something which I can change by chaniging the civics from universal sufferage to monarchy or wiht come other civic.

I believe that this happens if you Defy an Apoplectic** Palace (or UN) resolution. I think that the unhappiness slowly diminishes, but the 'easiest' way to stop the problem is to vote Yes/No/Abstain rather than 'Defy' to the resolution.

** I know how I spelt it :p

Question: Does the resolution have to "pass" in order to cause this unhappiness? For example, if you defy a resolution that didn't get the necessary votes to pass, will your citizens still be unhappy?

If you defy a resolution, it automatically fails. If it would have failed anyway, say if you would have voted "no" instead. I don't believe you suffer "villain" status, or any of the other penalties you'd suffer if it was an AP resolution you were defying.

Thanks!!!!

But it makes no sence that when I play aggresively and demolish all of them my civs are cool with it. I deffy canseling of Emancipation which is good for them and they are pissed at me. It is a bad mechanism.

Maybe not, one possible reason that they're voting to cancel it is because some don't have democracy and so are suffering unhappiness as a result.

How late in the game was this? Was everybody in Emancipation already?

This was the case, other players without Emancipation wanted me to cancel it. So where is the logic of MY CIVS getting pissed at ME because I was protecting their interests. This is why I think that this is a bad mechanism.
