Examine City at Conquest

I tried to install this... I added the examine city start through examine city end code on the dll, and I saw no change...

Is there more to than that?

Huh?
I have 3.19 installed (and use the "No Espionage" all the time), and mine has never shown this function.
What am I missing?

I never got around to adding this to BULL (alters gameplay), but once I patched to 3.19 I am now able to examine a city when I conquer it. In the popup asking if you want to keep or raze it is a new third buttons saying, "Wait a sec. Let me see what's in this city," or something to that effect.

Yeah, this function was added to BtS by default in 3.19.

You say you installed this and nothing changed. Since you didn't get a crash (Civ4 has encountered a problem and needs to close), this mean you are not patched to 3.19, as this modcomp would crash 3.19 because it uses a pre 3.19 dll. So just patch to 3.19. My assumption is you patched using the automatic updater, which fails and often lies to users saying it has patched the game, when in fact it has not. Download the 3.19 patch from civfanatics and install it and you should be good to go.

I'll give it another shot... I mean, I thought it had loaded the patch, because I use the "No Espionage" option a lot... and I did DL it from here. Perhaps it was an incomplete installation though...

The "No Espionage" option was introduced with the 3.17 patch, and it has nothing to do with the examine city at conquest/gift/acquire/liberate feature.

Sure enough, somehow mine was still in 3.17, though I had previously DLed 3.19
Fixed now.
