Small details or bigger stories, doesn't matter :)

When i found / find Boletus Edulis.
I see plenty other good shrooms on my forest walks, but those are rare here. Always a big motivation boost.

When Grasshoppers jumped around on the raspberry bushes while i collected.
Free entertainment!

When a big dog suddenly dashed past me at full speed, while i was looking for shrooms.
I didn't see it coming at all, surrounded by trees & looking at the ground..was not fun but surely memorable

Every time i see deers. Maybe once per month, best was when 3 ran across the path before me.
Mother first and 2 small ones behind.

When i saw 2 squirrels racing up a big tree, really looked like as if they wanted to see who gets up there first.

While "rescuing" bees. One from a water glass, floating on it's back.
Another crawling slowly on the floor and far away from any window, seemingly lost.
Good feeling when they started flying again after carrying them outside.

I saw a black squirrel a couple times recently, in the park across from where I work. Never seen one before. I have no idea what the natural lifespan of a squirrel is, but at this rate, I'll likely never see another one.

Wikipedia says, "Natural populations of black morph eastern gray and fox squirrels can be found in the natural ranges of both species in North America, although their frequency varies depending on the area. Black fur for both species of squirrels is rare, and occurs at rates of less than one per cent. It has been suggested that one in 10,000 eastern gray squirrels are a black morph."

Not my picture. I wasn't quick enough to get my phone before it ran off, so I just grabbed this off the Web.
Spoiler :

Roadrunner beep beep! Greets me on on my walk.

Walking around my neighborhood at night over the summer, I routinely encountered a large tribe of (8-10) foxes, some of which were large enough to be confused for coyotes.

Also had an owl swoop right above my head once.
