Expansions

I just got back into civ 4, didn't play too much when I first got it, but somehow lately I've got hooked.

Anyway, I'm thinking of picking up the expansions, and wondering if I should get warlords as well as BTS.

I heard BTS includes all of warlords except the scenarios, but those sound pretty fun. Any feedback on them? The only scenario I've tried so far was included with the original and had something to do with American Revolution. actually didn't find that all that good, but the warlord ones sound interesting.

so, is warlords worth it for just the scenarios?

this seems to be a common question. if you really like scenarios and really plan to spend a lot of time playing with them, then I would recommend getting both Warlord and BTS. however, a lot of people are like myself and might experiment with them a little but spend most time in the main game. if that's really your situation too, don't waste money on warlords. BTS has everything in the main game, and I think the BTS scenarios are actually much more interesting and varied than Warlords. the ones in Warlords are all historical with not a lot of unique features. the only one that was the most unique was Barbarians, where you play as the barbs and have no cities. but that one I got tired of quickly. the BTS scenarios and mods will keep you busy for a long time to come.

I'm reinstalling Civ on a new computer, and can't find my Warlords disc, but I do have BtS.

yap, and the modders are already converting the warlords scenerio's to bts with the improved bts AI and features so basically warlords can be thrown in the trash now. (not giving you any ideas)

As a matter of fact, I think I lost it several thousand kilometers away.

I looked around, but couldn't find any indication that modders where converting Warlord Scenarios to BTS.

Wondering where you saw that?

People aren't? well just make a topic on the creation and costumization forum asking someone to do so. I'm sure someone will answer and make it.
