F6F Hellcat

Hey,
I made this by modifying the Wildcat mesh a little, and creating a whole new texture. Because the planes look so alike! Just a mini project I guess. Could be an improved Wildcat or Hellcat.

By the way, I suggest all interested unit makers out there look at the texture (not wrapped around the model) and REALLY LOOK AT THIS TUTORIAL!

Normally I am pretty reserved in my criticism, but the lines on this one are just way too broad and stand out too much. As for the shape... well, that's another matter entirely.

I like the skin itself and the new star "decals," but the lines ruin the effect.

What Gauis is trying to say is... this model needs to lay-off the fatty foods.

Yeah I was working on that, but I think on the wings for example on the actual texture it looks very realistic. Like its been through combat.
Oh, and wolfie. I know I'm trying to get it to stop.

Yeah, something along those lines... though the Wildcat seems a little more bulkier. Frankly, I don't think they look too much alike. (But who am I to judge? DK's the one who said the B-24 looks exactly like the B-25. ) Anyway, I'm sure the update will make it better...

Err...When did I say a B24 looks just like a B25?
And in terms of a Unit Graphic for Civ 4 the Hellcat and Wildcat are very similar.

You said that you did not need to do a B-25 because asioasioasio's Strawberry B**** (a B-24) looked just like it.

Just get rid of 2 engines...

I like the new version, now if you would do the same to your IL-4 bomber and brighten its windows, that would be great

Well, besides the lower wing (and relocated landing gear) the biggest difference is that the F6F has a more teardrop-shaped hull.

I think this is the one thing you forgot to do.
