FA Consulate T3 P5- Senator's War Poll With France

This poll is for the Senators of Fanatikos to decide if our country should make war with the nation of France. Only Senators can vote in this poll. To vote a Senator must post Yes or No for war in this thread. If 4 of 6 of the Senators vote in favor of war, then war will be declared. So Senators of Fanatikos, decide if our nation should plunge into war and take the land of the Franks.

As Governor of Priapos, I must vote no on this decision.

We are going to be increasing our military a ton in the next turnchat or two. If we do attack France, let's hold off a bit.

We are in much the same situation as when we first looked at a war with Germany. Our forces are out of position, we have several units which will become available soon, and our north and northwest flanks are somewhat exposed. Styx in particular would have many workers improving the land to better our chances at getting the Sistene Chapel.

For all these reasons, Styx votes no, not at this time.

To get into a war at this point in time, before we get more than a couple of Knights, before we complete the Knights Templar, before we improve the front-line city of Styx so it can build the Sistine Chapel would be foolish.

Once we have prepared however, a nice little war that triggers our Golden Age (with a bit of careful positioning and use of some Hoplites) could really help in our efforts to complete the Sistine Chapel, speed our research, pay the upkeep of our extra military units and maybe give us a few zero upkeep workers in addition to the town we want.

So no, not now.
