Obviously got to learn some tricks....needed one more turn to capture Delhi and beat it. Now probably need to try the whole thing again.

This scenario seems awfully hard from a time perspective. if you can't do it on Settler difficulty.

I took the C/S just SE of capital within a few turns, then set sights on China, as they were most dangerous. Then Siam, had about 40 turns to go. Main issue was moving all units across map towards Persia...once there, they went down pretty fast too....had doubts but had Cannons by then. So was taking cities very quickly.

Basically went in counter clockwise around map. Opted out on Japan as it's tricky and only need 4 for Settler.

Any insights? I could restart my turn 46 save, but just don't think can go any faster from there. Feels like maybe make some adjustments earlier perhaps. But seems like did pretty well, so seems crazy to me that failed on Settler.

At least I got the achievement for running out of time on it. But that seems awfully easy to get.

Not my game. But my write up. It will give you some ideas.

With a normal start it would be hard to achieve the starting map on Deity. But with the advanced start, the hard work has been done in terms of infrastructure and the AI doesn't get any smarter at higher levels, so this isnt a bad game to try out on Deity, it's more to do with strategy and watching the videos I certainly learned a few tricks I can take into domination games at all levels.

I dare say the Settler game isnt so far off? The benefits that the AI gets on Deity are really not too much of a gamer changer in this scenario.
