Well I had this idea for a mod the other day and decided: hey this is for me!
I would gladly appreciate critque and some hints ^^
[Idea]
The idea behind this mod is, that after a world breaking calamity people are disorganized, disidolized and that alike, old values are degraded into nonsense.
The world is in the need of a new Leader, who leads one of the strongest factions out there. Wich are by now, Paragon, SRP, Gaia, Children of the forgiving, Proletaria, Valhallah and the Heirs of the Eagle. Each of this factions are in the possession of a Behemoth, a big walking fortress. Those Behemoths can settle down and establish a city-like affection area. These settled down Behemoths are pretty much the only fuctioning cities left in the world, aside from small communities. They are the heart of the new empires and it should be the first priority to destroy the other factions Behemoth. One Behemoth taking on another is not allways a fair match, some a stronger than other ones or vice versa. You need support, ressources, units, ammunition and that alike. So you have to establish a logistical network first to create a foundation for your empire, with a standing army, packing enough punch to deliver the finish blow against the other faction.
You are facing many difficulties, the most obvious one are the other factions, but the more severe problems are, logistics, general supply (clean water, food, power), ressources (junk, steel, metal, ammunition etc) and manpower. The challenge is comparable with the "one city challenge", you have to take on the world with one city and maybe some smaller settlements, but those will never reach the level of a city (population 5 or higher)
Overall you have to maintain you supply lines and the general supply before you can even think of going to war.

In the year 2047 the shortage of natural ressources pushed the nations to their breaking point. On february 22nd the first offensives to secure the remaining ressources on earth began. The world powers quickly started a full blown out war and the smaller nations were preparing for the inevitable. Everyone was waiting for it to happen, but to everyones surprise it did not come. Nature itselfs stopped the fighting, on march 11th the USA was hit by massive wakes and more than a dozent Hurricans, devastating everything in the way.
Russia was hit by an continental blizzard covering all of it in ice and snow. China´s stricken ecosystem broke down and left billions without food. Europa was hit by floods and Storms tearing their infrastructure apart.
Mass hystiria hits the general public in nearly every state.
Martial Law is declared.
Cease of national control.
March 12th the global communication network broke down.
March 13th cease of all international interaction.
March 18th the end of the old world.
[Factions]
Saratoga Research Plant
In 2022 the SRP was THE capability in artificial body parts and cybernetic research, aswell as human-machine-interfaces.
At march 11th the SRP already gathered under Prof. Doc. Ulrich Hoffmann and fortified the complex, retreating underground in massive bomb shelters wich were build after the Act of War. Hoffmann died at April 21st in the year 2047passing the leadership of the SRP to Prof. Doc. Stanislaus Griffon, who established the Order of Machina at july 4th . Under the control of Prof Griffon, the SRP changed to a religous, technocratic collective. In the year 2048 Prof Griffon transfered his memories and his knowledge into the newly build NOMAD a part-organic-part-artifical-super computer.
Vallhallah
Vallhallah is the name of the meadhall of Odin, were all warriors go to feast with their Godfather Odin and prepare for Ragnarok. After Ragnarok came over the world these warriors were set free and now wandering the earth looking for a new purpose and a new place to call it home. Nobody knows who founded the Brotherhood of Vallhallah, this knowledge was lost, On february 2nd a wanderer encountered a newly build enclave in the mountains of former germany. He was greeted by a squad of patroling
fur and iron wearing warriors, who invited him to warm up inside the city gates. Vallhallah honors the elders and worshiping technology as their savior connecting their norse origin with it.
Paragon
Before the global breakdown, the Paragon Inc. was the most advanced and most powerfull distibuter of weaponry, be it armor or infantry based. Their products were nearly on all battlefields in the world, despite their prize. They were the first ones who came up with the legged armor concept and they were the first who developed the first combat efficent exoskeleton. Paragon inc. was the most powerfull entity aside from the nations. After the Breakdown, the members of the board decided that they should transfer all available assets to the Heimdall. A six legged Behemoth of the newest generation, tho it was only a prototype for the new series and it was far from finished, they figured, that this would be the safest place on earth and of course, the best starting point for their new goals.
Children of the Forgiving
The Children of the Forgiving understand the global breakdown and the world wide calamities as the punishment of the gods and that there is just one way to cleanse themselfes. It is not really known who founded the Children of the Forgiving, none the less they apear as a very strong faction after their first emergence. Fanatism and absolute obidience are the most fitting words to discribe the Children. They seek eternal redemption and no heretic will stand in their way.
Gaia
Gaia originates form the druid culture of Scotland, feeling deeply connected to the mother earth, or the Mother Spirit, as they call it, they felt the pain, as the calamities strucked earth and shacked the foundations of society. They are a peaceloving, philosophical and creative community, where everbody shares if each other, but they realized that under this conditions, the circle of life itselfs is in danger, so they agreed to lay down their dogma of peace and prepare themselfs for the upcoming events.
Heirs of the Eagle
The heirs of the eagle are the remnants of the former US military, united under former General Richard Kosgrove. He established a cult arround everything that has to do with american history, idolizing everything he could. The Heirs of the Eagle see themselves as the one and only hope for humanity, the only candle in the dark. They shall be the only one who restore order and peace and unite the world under the banner of justice, may the statue of liberty guide their steps, at least that is what they are thinking.
Proletaria
Proletaria are the workers of the former russian motherland, who united themselves to throw over the old regime and to achieve their target to equalize everyone. They are organized in a strict caste system, wich is a paradox in it self, considering the fact, that everybody is euqal. However they do not tolerate any faction on earth to exist, who does not adopt their way of life and so they decided to leave the cover of the blizzard and prepare themselfs for war.
