Fall from heaven strategies and tips

Hey gnarlfinger, when u are usin g a mod the scores that you can achieve will almost always be very different than the scores that you would get if you werent using the mod. But still Great Job!!

I've noticed that a campaign of aggression is actually easier to execute early on. Axemen with CR I+II when you have an aggressive Civ do bad things to enemy cities. The Promotion system makes experience more vital, and losing a veteran unit more painful. Add that to the fact that there is no cap on Barb exp...

where can i find the tech and unit upgrade trees for FfH2?? im one who likes to have these things handy so i can plan ahead w/o havin to keep openin up a lot of screens. i need the trees so i can write em down and therefore keep em on my lap as i play so ill have easy access. i just got civ iv (my first civ game ever) a couple days ago, and beat it twice with domination on settler, lol. since im new its acceptable, lol. neways, i just downloaded ffh2 and would really like to have those trees for me to copy down.

ne help would be highly appreciated.

Best place to ask that question is in the forum
CIVILIZATION IV -->
Civ4 - Creation & Customization -->
Civ4 - Project & Mod Development -->
Civ4 - Fall from Heaven

ugh, gonna be a while before they put out any sufficient documentation on the trees for ffh2. thanks anyways tho. maybe sometime this week ill just make the tree on a chart/diagram program and post it on here. i have it written down that i copied from the ingame menu but its sloppy as hell.

Hey guys, I saw quite a few strategies before that sound promising, but I'm in a bit of a rut as to how to employ any. I usually try to go for an Illians/PoW (priest of winter) rush, trying to take out people early with theology, doing my own thing, not accepting any religions (I know the story about Malcarn, but it's still a pain when you see kickass things like Meshabber of Dis :twitch:.) The problem with this is, theology is possible to get within the first 100 turns of the game (unless you're on marathon) but by the time I have both the group of priests attained through the ritual (seriously, why can't you train more?) and a sizable group of warriors (or even axemen), everyone else has spammed at least 30 warriors, maybe a few archers in there somewhere. Couple that with the fortification bonus, and I have a useless army that can't do anything until I get some seige, which takes too long for it to be considered a rush. Even the priests themselves have something of a 60-70 % chance of winning, which is just too small to risk on killing something as inconsequential as a warrior 50-something turns into the game.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not critiquing the mod (as a few other users have pointed out rather bluntly :deadhorse:), I'm just trying to find a way to get over the early AI warrior-spamming start without losing too much steam. Those priests are golden, but they're useless against spamming until the snow III upgrade in a few hundred turns. Any suggestions?
