Just curious, does the Fall Further AI work as well as the regular FFH AI, or should I bump it up a level to compensate for all the tricks the AI has no clue how to use?

I'd like to try the new version, but I am afraid I may invest a lot of time only to find out I am rolling over the world.

I haven't played FFH2 in a while but I know there are additional AI fixes in FF...

I suggest Deity level with raging Barbs and the New Forrest options on

Any map with no continents (FF AI doesn't do Navel any better than FFH2 does so I refuse to play those types maps.) I suggest Great plains or Lakes.

Report back how you did....

Tectonics - lakes tends to do pretty well.

When I play on emperor now, I find myself confronted by at least one empire to rival my own, with mythril weapons, in the endgame. 58 vampires, 19 rangers, 13 catapults, and a ton of other stuff makes for a fun opponent.

I was getting slapped around in Noble - until I remembered how to actually play the game.

The barbs were more of a problem than the enemy civs were, in any case.

Another good map is Erebus Continent with high cohesion to help with the bad naval AI. With high cohesion, nearly all the land is on one landmass with a few small scattered islands.

As far as AI difficulty, since the recent update I found myself actually having to drop one difficulty level from immortal to emperor and it is still a nice challenge.

I, personally, would kill for someone like Sephi to continue with some Fall Further AI modmod improving. Maybe its presence and focus in the main mod itself will get rolling and help things along soon enough.
