If we ever get a real Nordic Union up and running, and I get to decide, then sure, you Scots can come too. Bring whisky.
Speaking of which, I've sometimes thought about an alternate history where, instead of joining NATO after WW2, Norway and Denmark went into a Nordic defense union with Sweden. (Possibly Iceland and maaaaaybe Finland too.) Basically filling the same role in the Cold War as Sweden did, except more so; neutral but ever so slightly more west-leaning; strong enough to not be worth attacking, homegrown arms industries and probably a nuclear weapons program as well (there actually was the beginning of a joint Swedish-Norwegian nuclear program in reality, but it didn't go very far).
'stan is allied to Russia , America , EU and an on-off relationship with New Turkey . Would love to see they are free of all entanglements of such restrictive allies . Wait , won't happen ? Like who would believe American commandos proudly wearing signs of a Marxist-Leninist organization ?
Russia, America and China joining the EU
Lothar's Revenge: At some point between 1871 and 1939, Alsace-Lorraine annexes France, Germany, and Luxembourg and forcibly imposes Alsatian as the official language of Super Alsace/Lotharingia, with Strasbourg as the capital. The dispute is thus resolved and nothing bad ever happens
