All right, this one pack is special in that it will directly determine the stuff that arrives next. Kohan 2 has six major factions/races, each with distinct architecture. I'm set on releasing this one in faction-by-faction packs. Your votes can determine the order they're released. The pack that has most votes gets released first - then the pack that has second most votes etc. To give you a taste of the factions, here are two buildings from each - an outpost and a fort (two for each faction because fort and outpost for each share the textures, and as such it would be foolish not to release them together). Basically, the forts are just buffed up versions of the outposts.

The factions presented are:

1) Drauga - barbarian/nomad/orc archetype
Picked last; the vote won't affect anything anymore.

Most buildings are made of hide and bone; the fort has fire animations on the tower tops (not shown).

2) Gauri - dwarf archetype with slight mesoamerican flair
Picked third, no need to vote for them anymore.
All buildings are very solid brickwork, look almost like typical fantasy dwarven masonry. The fort has a single fire animation on its top (not shown).

3) Haroun - very pronounced wood elf archetype
Picked second, no need to vote for them anymore.
All buildings are greenish and elvish, and incorporate lots of trees and glowy red lanterns. All trees and lanterns are animated (swaying).

4) Human - typical fantasy humans archetype
Picked first, no need to vote for them anymore.
Many buildings can probably also work for non-fantasy medieval settings. Mostly white stone masonry. Outpost and fort not animated, hanging flags easily detachable.

5) Shadow - rock formations and glowy stuff
Picked fifth
Typically animated with lots of glowy stuff and constructed of black rocks and floating crystals. Outpost and fort have animated walls made of lightning; fort has floating animated glowy crystals.

6) Undead - typical fantasy undead archetype
Picked fourth
Although outpost and fort aren't animated, many of their buildings have glow and mist effects for haunted looks. Graveyards and black ruined towers mostly; very befitting an undead theme.

P.S. The thermal vent promised after the previous pack is also included. Not shown on the screens, as it won't open in NifSkope. Still, it should work.

Cast your votes, ladies and gentlemen!

Well, everyone should understand that not only the first place matters - I'll be doing the second place second, the third place third, etc. So, if you're torn between two factions and one is in the lead, it makes sense to boost the other faction so it also arrives earlier. :)

I went for Shadow, but that's because I like the way it looks. Not sure where I'd put it.

Voted for dwarves, but if I could do it again it might be undead.
There are quite a few elven buildings avaliable, so no rush for me.
Human ones can always be used, but the apperance is just ok, nothing more IMHO
No current idea for the possible use of the shadow ones.

Whatever the order, I am glad to get new stuff to play with :)

Actually, humans as the first pack would be a pretty wise choice, as they'd give you the overview of all kinds of buildings there are, in their "normal" styles. But still, I am going to respect the vote. The first one will probably be decided and released today evening, but I cannot absolutely guarantee it.

I like them all, except the shadow ones. Those look hazy and messy. The others are cleaner and more appealing.

Also, the Kohan developers should be grateful to you for this. I've seen quite a few mentions of this art convincing people to go buy the game

same here.
I think the first and the elven ones stand out most and look coolest

Well, static screens don't do real justice to shadow buildings, as all of those have cool animations. Still, as I'm going to release all six sets eventually, it's nobody's real loss if they come last.

At this moment, I'm registering humans as leading, and I'm starting to convert a human pack. Expect today or tomorrow; don't bother voting for humans anymore, they're coming to town.

Humans, for the highest possible flexibility. (Why are humans always the Mario?) It was between them and the Dwarves, though. EDIT: Frak, must remember to read through threads before voting. *Headdesk.* Maybe you should edit the original post and bold the Humans and state that they've been picked...
