Farewell to Innovia!

I think I've hit on a great idea for the Goodbye Innovia video

I'll keep it secret for now, to preserve the surprise value (unless you all really want to know?) – suffice to say that it's a friendly, tongue-in-cheek happy kind of song… very much along the lines of the "always look on the bright side of life" video we did for Loco.

So… any screenshots for the video would be greatly appreciated.
I thought I'd just post this reminder plea while the fighting is still going on, in case it's easier to collect them as we go along.

I also REALLY want another series of shots like Dave produced last time showing our cultural progression across the lands of Innovia. Those were really awesome, I think.

Please just collect any great screencaps here in this thread, like we did for the LOCO video, and I'll try to work on this from time-to-time so it's ready to go when we finally put Innovia away.

I was thinking, Have we already killed them. Wow, but then I thought that is could have been a project of G_W's. Of course I want to have a clue of what you have planned for that big send of, that will happen.

no... they're not dead yet... but if Piffle would play faster, I'll be Memphus could have them finished off by now

It really works better when I gather them all at once, so I can keep a consistent style.

ok - that makes perfect sense. I was thinking it'd be a lot of work to do all at once... but you'd know best, obviously! Whatever you prefer is fine.
I just don't think I'll have time to do anything more than assemble and choreograph the video. So I'm very dependent on others for the screenshots.

Does this same "wait till the end" philosophy apply to the combat action shots?
Or are we expecting Memphus to provide those?

Once Innovia is dead Dave can go back and roll the dice how he wants for the "combat" shot or if you need a sequence i have it all here on a napkin somwhere

I just want to make sure we get some of those dramatic eye-level shots of our units invading like we had for the Loco video.
I don't know if we can get an eye-level shot of the spy doing her little back-flip thing? but that'd be cool too.

Basically, I just want 2 key things...

1) Another sequence of territory capture shots (like the beautiful ones Dave put together for us last time)
2) Dramatic unit and naval shots for flavor. These don't need to tell any kind of chronological story... they just need to look cool. ​

From there, it's just arranging it to music and adding the fun filler stuff.
I've got a great song to roll for Innovia during the "Salute to Innovia" roster of their players.

Thanks for the pictures Dave! They're perfect!

If I'm reading the (very brief ) turn updates correctly, Innovia is now down to just their last city, Bethel Alaska.
Any estimate on when we'll take it out Memphus?

@Dave - I'm hoping you'll still be able to produce those last two screenshots from the right zoom level when that happens? I can crop things if I need to, you've already done great work here.

I won't get time to try to get a screenshot of Innovia's last city falling until late tomorrow.
If someone can beat me to it, I won't be sad!

Otherwise, I think I can match Dave's shots with a little editing...
Though... now that I think about it... I'm running the Blue Marble Terrain mod, so it'll probably look noticeably different even all zoomed out.

Hopefully one of you can take me this last shot. If not, I'm sure mine will be fine.

My goal is to get the video done and posted on Monday sometime.

it's no good guys - my game just looks really different from DaveMcW's... I've got way more clouds - and the colors are all different.

Can someone take a shot closer to Dave's for me?
Or myabe I'll PM Dave and beg for help

If someone other than Dave wants to try and help (and get your name in the video credits! ) you don't have to get the cropping perfect - I can fix that up on my end. I just need the shot to basically match what Dave did.
