Many people on this site tend to dislike console games and console gamers because of their overall lack of intelligence. I for the most part agree that console games are usually very dumbed down and never really have the same depth as PCs. I have a 360 and there's a few games I like. I hate the call of duty games. The way they release the same game every year only with slightly different weapons and maps.
I don't like how everyone just runs around like a bunch of rats struggling to get to the next level. Once you do get to the next level there's another level to get to and another and another. Finally, when you reach the highest level possible you get to prestige. Yay! So now I get to do the same sh*t over again!? Dumbest game ever.
I actually like sandbox games like Grand Theft Auto or Red Dead Redemption. The freedom to do what I want and not just sit in a tiny map shooting everything is nice. Instead I can shoot people if I want to or do many other things.

So what are your favorite console games?

Mariokart & Bowling Wii

Tough choices a lot of games I own are also on PC to but I prefer Xbox games (Stabler and I don't need to sped 500 dollars on upgrade every 2-3 years.)

- Battlefield Bad Co. 2
- Halo Wars
- Left 4 Dead 2
- Portal 1
- Rock Band 3

In no particular order.

Oblivion
Timesplitters 3
Mario Kart 64

Rock Band 3, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Time Splitters (I forget which one I played), and Lost Planet.

I also played Borderlands through on the PS3, but being a shooter its better on the PC (which I have it for).

I disagree good sir. Shooters are better on consoles. PC is superior for strategy.

While they can be fun on consoles and FPS games are vastly improved over how they used to be, the precision and ease of use of a mouse is technologically superior to the analogue sticks. For example I could not see games like Red Orchestra work with an analogue stick ever, at 100 meters the enemy is but a few pixels on the screen and precision is everything ( have absolutely no idea how I'll ever get the achievements for a bolt-action rifle kill at 200 and 400 meters).

The PC is still definitely superior for strategy games though I see no reason why someone can't develop a deep TBS game for the console.

I find mice are worse for precision because your wrist is susceptible to jerks and shakes... if you don't move the analogue stick the screen won't move.

But anyway back on topic, I quite enjoyed the Fable series, up until Fable 3.

I have a gel pad wrist rest that is awesome, though I know what you mean, but that is why you can adjust the sensitivity on your mouse too fit your play style too. Nor have I really had a problem with my wrist getting jerked or shaking, maybe you should see a doctor? Personally I always turn it down low, especially in RO since you really are shooting at pixels half the time. However with a console controller I find that I usually end up off to the side of what I am trying to aim at, they tend to be very bad if you just need to move the cursor ever so slightly. Practice does help compensate for it though (and so does autoaim).

And if you don't move the mouse your screen won't move either :p

But yeah, Fable was okay. I don't get the hype as it didn't really impress me that much. Didn't get into Fable 1 though I did play Fable 2 for several hours (and never got back to it for some reason, probably just because my roomamte and his GF played it so much I didn't feel like seeing anymore of it).

After the "Put Hitler in Civ" and the "This game isn't an RPG" debates, now we have the awesome didn't-see-it-coming-at-all debate of "FPS on PC vs consoles" debate.

My favorite console games are all available on PC, except old consoles ones (SNES and such, but yeah.. ROMs ftw). An exception would be Red Dead Redemption but I can't say it's my favorite since I just really wanna play it.

Yeah one thing I am looking about for this summer is finally playing it (because I never got around to it last year before I moved out from my friends/roommates and went to the middle east).

I think the hitler in civ debate was a joke from under the bridge :p

As for FPS on PC debate I'm done, nothing else really needs to be said :p

I don't need a doctor, I just have weak wrists because I've broken both of my arms. :p Probably a reason why I just can't click with a mouse.

'scuse the pun.
