I just thought I'd see what everybody is running nowadays to enhance the visuals of C3C? Back in the day I used to use Snoopy's graphics, but nowadays I find them a little saturated/cartoony (for lack of a better word) for my tastes. I just played the COTM 168 with Ares terrain. It is really good, except the bonus grassland was hard to distinguish. Any others people recommend? What about other graphic updates like city sets? I haven't used any custom ones. Or anything else you like?

In the base-game, IIRC, I'm using @Snoopy's (Greener?) terrain, @Pounder's thinner, less convoluted road-/rail-nets (and Marsh terrain?), @Corn's (? Not sure of the spelling, because he's not around anymore, unfortunately) border-graphics, @Puppeteer's popheads, and a gridded minimap linked by @SuedecivIII at some point, either in a post or a YT video-blurb (not his graphic, he just used it).

For mods I've DL'd I use whatever graphics the mod-maker included.

Reminds me that I need a better terrain pack since I'm having a hard time between jungle and forest when they are intermixed and I always liked Snoopy's 3D borders even if the fence-like graphic was a little ugly. Do they install well when you are using GOG version of C3C?

Doesn't matter where you got the game from, just a matter of renaming/ replacing the respective graphic-file(s).

Should we maybe move this into the mod-pack forum?
I thought the mod pack forum was just for posting completed mod packs? I was just trying to see what graphics people have tried and liked. Similar to the posts asking for mod recommendations or favorite UU or whatever. There are not a lot of responses, so probably not a big deal either way.

I use Snoopy, either greener or the base mod.

I checked out Pounder's Marsh terrain. I like, I like. Now I just need to figure out how to edit it so the colors match Ares terrain (which is my favorite overall terrain pack).
