whats yours? mines Rome!
English with Elizabeth with Fin/Phi.
Catherine of Russia to get my two favorite traits: financial and creative
For me it would be between the English and Spanish, but since England will probably get more votes overall I will support the Spanish.
Mine is probably the Germans or the Chinese. (vanilla) I like Fredrick and Qin Shi has some nice traits. I think I'll flip a coin. Chinese it is ^_^
I almost said Spain, but I've been playing Mansa Musa recently and I'm loving it. It's hard to pick one, but Financial and Spiritual are two of my favorite traits, and the Mint is just awesome. As for the Skirmishers, well, take 'em or leave 'em, but a lot of civs have irrelevant UUs.
In Vanilla, I had a liking of Qin shi Huang. Financial and Industrious is a good combo. Cho Ko Nu's rock.
...well, actually Scandinavia, but they weren't on the list.
England, because I'm English.
i think i should play with other Civs.
Frederick of Germany. Starts with hunting and mining, which mines fast BW and fast expansion. Expansive trait and extra health is very nice on higher levels, and philosofical guarantees lots of great scientists to grab liberalism first.
If I go for builder game, Louis XIV is my favourite. Fast landgrab and lots of wonders.
char/pro the closest to agg/char
Louis XIV is my favorite....
Spiritual is much more powerful now with all the civic choices than it was in Civ3 (IMHO), and Charismatic is the new Agricultural. You can't go wrong - you can adopt any playstyle at any given point for any amount of time in any game. Based on the traits alone, they are my favorite civ, despite the somewhat lackluster UU and UB (note poster avatar and bias though ).
immortals are cool. I don't like loosing units
Russia, Mali, and Inca are my favorites, Praets and immortals are too cheap for my tastes, quecha are pushing it (in my latest game I took out two people before A.D.). For russia, Stalin is a great warmongering leader and cossacks are awesome, the +50% to mounted makes them ideal for attacking cannons, grenadeers, and calvalry. With two promotions they can get +25% vs gunpowder units which makes them even with riflemen and good for attacking grenadeers.
Mali is spiritual and financial, spiritual is so-so but financial with his money forge gets you crazy commerce, last game I played him I had infantry vs musketmen and longbows on noble. Inca are agg/fin, two of my favorite traits, and they have quechas which are handy for making sure the continent dosn't get too crowded later on.
you wish... they aren't actually immortal.
Zulu by far...
What have the Romans done for us lately?
If you haven't tried Augustus Caesar, do so. Now. Stop reading this thread and go start a game. NOW! Don't make me come in there!
