Prince of Persia I and Darklands- That was when game music sounded like it was coming from a computer instead of from a stereo.

If it didn't include "the sweetness" by Jimmy Eat World. I would have to say NHL 2003 has a kick ass soundtrack. But thats kinda cheating. The C&C games had awsome sound tracks. And Chrono Trigger for SNES had pretty good music considering it was Super Nintentdo. It fit well with the game.

I like the music from all the Baldur's Gate games, Final Fantasy X, Civilization III, FIFA 2002, and Starcraft.

I dislike strongly the music from Warcraft III, 007: Nightfire, SimCity4, and both Age of Empires I and II.

I have never played a game with a soundtrack. But for nice PC speaker sounds, Pool of Radience.

Tropico, Civ II, SimCity 4, The Sims.

Overall, The Sims has the best music.

    MECHWARRIOR 2!! Best of all-time.

C&C and Red Alert, Monkey Island, Fallout, Civ2, Doom 1 & 2, Half-Life, and SimCity 2000 were all good too.

    I don't really like CivIII.

Rock 'n Roll racing on the SNES had great music.. Especially Black Sabbath - Paranoid..
I also liked listening to the Hell March in Red Alert while crushing the enemy (preferably a human player) with a massive army!

It was some MSX2 game. Two soldiers shooting eachother.. Donno the name. I even recorded the song from the computer to a cassette... I remember the sound coming from only one speaker.

    1986/1987?

Another favourite was commodore 64's Spyhunter. They had that famous 'Emerson Lake & Palmer' song: ...... I'll safe it for the general knowledge thread!

Now that's easy to answer: FFVII, FFVIII, C&C1...
Ancient civ3 isn't _that_ bad either.

 The game?!? I was just talking about the music! j/k

All kidding aside, Starcraft: Broodwar is still one of my favorite games. IMO, it is still the best RTS ever made.
