If I'm ever in trouble, if there are bad men after me, if all looks lost then I pray that a Mamluk rides over the horizon. Absolutely eat Barbarians for breakfast, lunch, dinner and then supper for good measure. If you play as Arabia some time soon then I'm sure you'll enjoy having them on your side as much as I have.

Played as China last night; Pedro surprise invaded me with over 40 units split between spearman, catapults. I had just put Crouching Tigers in my cities as City Defense. I thought I was done for... Until I started one-blasting every Brazilian unit that came up to my wall of death. (Border city had a four-hex line of Great Wall sandwiched between two mountain groups), they held the line nicely. Could take a Melee hit too - unlike archers.
Sounds like another cracking unique unit
