Challenging Fate
The year is 20XX. The Melee meta game has developed so much, that only Fox is viable and matches are won by port priority Earth has changed. In 2015, meteors rained hellfire across the planet. Entire cities were wiped off the map, crops failed, and humanity's continued existence was put into question. To keep humanity alive, a breeding program became the common response. Males were kept in pens, to keep them safe from the wastelands outside. Soon enough, females became the dominant sex, and men became nothing more than sex objects to them.
The age of unified sexes, however, ended a decade ago after The Great Divorce; males across the entire Earth abandoned civilization from their female oppressors. The result of half of a society's population just deciding to leave caused many to collapse, and the few countries left are all still dominated by women, most of which who now view men as uncivilized savages who need to be wiped off the map.
Now, ten years later, the menhordes are strong enough to challenge the the feminist civilizations that they left. The Feminist state prepare for the marauding hordes to arrive at their door and the inevitable counterattack to civilize the brutes, while their male counterparts giggle in glee in their hopes of tearing down the system that created them, while doing lots of plundering in the process. Reconciliation appears to not be an option; both want the fight, and prove their superiority. Only time will tell who will win, and at what cost.

Spoiler Map :
Hello and welcome to Omega's first IOT ever! This is definitely a 100% serious IOT exploring gender conflict, and in no way an in joke between Reus and I that I have decided to take way too far. This IOT is going to be mostly story based, but there are still going to be some rules, so pay attention!
JOINING:
Depending exactly on what you join as, the joining mechanics are going to be different. Namely, playing as a female country is going to be radically different than playing as a male horde. When you join, you must state which gender your group is, and then join in the way that respective gender joins.
Females
Joining as a female nation is as if you were joining any regular IOT. Pick a name and color (not white for obvious reasons, nor grey as I will explain below), get a flag, claim eight provinces on a map, and then you claim four additional provinces every turn. Overseas claims cost 2 claims until you have a chain of 12 connected territories, while large provinces (Canada, Siberia, Australia, etc) cost 3 and single pixel territories cost 1/2 a claim. Trying to claim hordelands (see below) will either double the cost of claiming the province, or make it cost 4 claims if doubling will cause it to be higher than 4.
Females, generally speaking, are more technologically advanced than males. They also have industrial capabilities, and therefore can produce whatever they need without having to scavenge for it. They also have access to air and naval support, which is paramount for defeating male hordes. However, despite having a larger population, most females are not soldiers, which means they can't as effectively raise armies. Also, female soldiers tend to not be as trained as males, since they do not live their entire lives fighting.
Males
Male hordes are, as the name implies, nomadic hordes. Men do not settle down in one place, but instead travel across the map, scavenging for food and raiding and plundering wherever they can. Because of this, they play like an actual horde, moving across the map, creating only ruin in their path.
When you join as a male, pick a color and province on the map, with the stipulation that a female nation is no less than 2 provinces away from you. That province is where your horde will start in. Both that province, and every province around it will be colored in grey (your horde itself will be a dot of your color in that province). Grey provinces are hordelands, which represent territories that are now conductive to the nomadic lifestyle of males rather than the sedentary lifestyles of females. Hordelands have no allegiance; once they are created, they serve to benefit of any horde. As alluded to above, they also are more resistant to getting claimed than neutral provinces.
Each turn, a horde can move four provinces. Whenever they move across hordelands, they may move at a 2 provinces for the price of one (essentially allowing them to move eight if they stay exclusively on hordelands). When a male horde moves through a neutral territory, it automatically becomes hordeland. Moving into an owned female province does not make instantly horde, however (see war). Males can not naturally move across bodies of water, but hordes may temporarily get the ability if they successfully raid coastal provinces for ships.
If a horde loses a battle, it will generally survive unless it does something outrageously stupid. However, every time a horde loses a battle without having ample time to lick their wounds, it becomes more and more likely that the horde will shatter and be destroyed. A weakened horde will also not be as strong in battle, meaning it is likely one defeat will cause a string of them if you don't pull back.
In general, male nations tend to have lower population than females due to their nomadic lifestyle, but their population is more hardy as a result. Likewise, an average male soldier is generally stronger and more fit than a comparable female soldier. Their entire population is also available for fighting, which on a practical level means they can field larger armies, if they don't mind greater risk of being wiped out if they lose. However, males are at complete mercy at using whatever they can scavenge. They can't produce anything on an industrial scale, and since they just use whatever they can find, their equipment tends to be lower tech than their female counterparts. They do not have an air force or navy, and vehicles they use are generally outdated, falling apart, and poorly maintained. Males also get restless if they aren't fighting (especially females), so bad things will happen if you are at peace for too long
WAR:
An inevitable part of IOTs, war will be based mostly on war plans you guys send to me, plus some RNG. Sensible plans will get higher bonuses than stupid plans, so make sure your war orders actually make sense. Outside of that, there's some special mechanics depending on what parties are exactly at war (specifically, how may sides are males).
Male vs Female
Male hordes can only attack female provinces that their horde directly moves into. Depending on how the battle goes, the horde may not move Also, as above, female-owned provinces do not turn into hordelands once moved into; they are just merely occupied by your horde. If males hold on any territory at the end of the war, and they do not hand control back to the females, then the occupied territory is only then converted to hordelands. If a female nation is 100% occupied, any land occupied of that nation by males is immediately turned into hordeland. Females can launch military expeditions into hordelands to hunt down a horde, to a certain distance at my discretion. However, hordes have bonuses when fighting against females in hordelands, which increases in distance.
Male vs Male
If any male horde moves in the same province at any point in their turn (all male movements are done simultaneously) and either party states they wish to fight the other horde, then both horde's turn will end and they will fight it out on the province. Whoever wins will stay on the afflicted province, while the lose will move into the province they were last in. Male vs Male fights will do extra damage to hordes, thanks to how positioning is so important for a fight to even happen
Female vs. Female
Really the same as a regular IOT war. Females can (even against males) elect to claim neutral and hordelands while they are at war. However, for every point out of four they use, they get an across the board malus to fighting. Therefore, use it wisely.
STATS:
Again, since this will be a mostly story-based IOT, there will not be hardcoded stats in which you buy stuff with. However, like early XIV, there will be a sort of ranking of nations I will do based on four criteria, which will be abbreviated as PEMC rating. PEMC will be based mostly on stories, with better stories getting more bonuses. PEMC can also decrease based on stories, if your story involves something bad happening to your country. However, a decrease of one stat will almost always be met with an increase of another stat, with said increase being larger than the decrease.
Political: How developed, stable, and realistic your government is. As long as everything is running swimmingly, there will not be a bias if your government is Oceania or an anarchist utopia. It is not a judgement on how strong your government is, just how much it makes internal sense. A higher political score means you are less suspectable to internal revolution.
Economic: How developed, stable, and realistic your economy is. Again, there will be no bias if you're communist or capitalist, just as long as your economy makes sense. A higher economic stat means your economy can have more strain placed on it before you will feel negative effects.
Military: How advanced, large, and well trained your military is. A country with a larger military score will tend to perform better in combat than nations with lower scores.
Cultural: A measurement of how developed and influential the culture of your people is. The higher your stat, the more resistant your culture is to foreign influences, the more likely it is for you to influence other countries's culture, and raise your diplomatic standing to any NPCs.
At the start of the game, females have an even 10 in all stats. Males start with 15 in military, but only 5 in the other stats. Yes, this does mean females start with 40, and males start with 30. That is WAD.
That should cover the rules. Remember, the world is very post-apocalyptic in nature right now, but otherwise the your mind is the limit. Have fun, and feel free to ask me if you have any questions.
