Yes, but this is exactly how it can easily happen that the bonus on the production of the Diplo unit is overlooked.I'm pretty sure production overflow, so you always benefit from extra production. You might still take X turn for a unit, but extra production will allow for the next to be build in X-1 turn instead.
Never had this issue, so it's probably coming from one of the mods.Anyone else encountering a bug with culture where you'll suddenly get something like +200K culture in one turn? It's enough to buy out the entire policy tree, plus some ideologies, if they were available, but this tends to happen in Ancient Era or Classical Era.
I do have other mods in use with VP though, so those may be the problem.

Why AI often pick Mandir first? Is it THAT good?I was positively surprised to see an AI pick Teocallis instead of mandir as 1st founder, sucks for me but oh well.
(also india, I dont think Gandhi will survive but as AI are willing to trade units maybe this will speed him up)
