Well, I have 'invested' slightly more than 70 hours in the game. :) It's grabbed me, now that I'm more familiar with the game mechanics and drivers, as well more familiar with the tiny-screenie format of the GBA. :p

My level 28 fighter/ninja main char now rocks, with his double-sword skill. I've gotten the 2 Ayvuir swords for him; can kill a level 20-something in one turn. :D

Have eight other characters : -

Montblanc (26) - Time mage/black mage
Lini (25) - Mog knight (ultima charge rocks! :))
One level 26 nu mou sage/white mage
One level 26 bangaa templar/dragoon
One level 26 human archer/hunter
One level 25 human illusionist/white mage/black mage
One level 25 moogle gunner/animist (I esp like the frog spell :))
One level 25 viera sniper/assassin

Loads of rare weopans and armor as well. More than 1 million gil and nothing to spend on. :(

Have done 143 missions - slightly less than half... :hmm: Still someways to go...

:D

You surpassed me! :p

I have about half your hours but my chars are only a few levels lower, but you probably have more weapons. Right now, I'm stuck in that awful lawset between the last totema and the end of the game, every single bad law has come in to place! Copycat, Dmg2 Animal, Missile, Color Magic, Holy, Healing, Techniques, Skills, Target Area, Target All, etc, etc, etc. ARRRGH! :wallbash:

So I'm stuck, I really want to finish (I love the ending music :mischief: ), but it gets too hard to level with the annoying laws in place. Plus, Mario Kart and Fire Emblem are taking up too much of my little time for games.

I'll probably move back to FFTA once I finish unlocking everything i Mario Kart (can't take more than a week at most :p)

Yeah, it sucks.

I've just gotten my first 'Game Over' msg ever - my XIII broke the no-blades rule (forgot to disable it), sent to prison and the game ended. :(

I've to flee twice when facing animals and with the no dmg2 animals law in place. And I've no antilaw card for it...

But it's manageable - just have to plan a bit, and keep in mind what laws are being imposed. Also have a larger pool of members to draw fr (I usually keep 7 or 8 free nowadays).

I'm a rather slow kind of player. :p

Besides I also spent a lot of time hunting down 'raiders' and defending my freed areas. For some reason, always 'under attack', sometimes a few at the same time...

In any case, 70 hours is nothing - I spent more than 220 hours on Disgaea. :p

Wait, did you actually beat the game yet (as in hit the ending credits)? Right now I beat the palace one, the next mission is the one where I fight Ritz's clan (I think).

I do have some of the important weapons/techniques, like double sword, holy blade, last breath, and curaga, but no ultimas or giga flare. :(

Lini comes pre-equipped with the ultima charge skill - he (she?) is one of the secret characters or something. :D

I'm at the stage where the Queen had just taken Mewt out of the palace. Babus and Judgemaster Cid are looking for them.

We're probably at around the same stage. ;)

I never mention anything about finishing the game yet... Still more than 150 missions to go. :yeah:

Hey, we ARE at the same stage. ;)

I completed a lot less missions, though. And I sort of ignored the secret characters altogether. :p

I don't even remember when I got Lini from. Just a freak accident. :p

I plan on completing as many missions as possible before ending the game. If this is like FFX (or any FF game), it'll built in such a way that it's relatively easy to complete, but to get all the goodies, you'll have to dig deeper a bit. ;)

It's easier to end the game first, I believe. After you finish the game, I hear that you can continue on as if nothing happened. BUT the laws are all much easier to avoid. That's what I heard at least.

*needs money to buy a gba and ffta*

It'd give me something to do in between classes next year heh. Probably during class too.

Maybe. But the laws can be as helpful as harmful, depending on how you use it. After all, the AI don't use antilaw or law cards. ;)

I love the times I add in no-missile laws, when the opponent has a couple of archer/gunner etc. :D

FFTA is not a game you can play on the go, if you want to play well. Need lots of planning ahead, and organising. ;) I spent as much time looking over my party, organizing and selling equipment, picking missions etc, as actually being on the field of battle. ;)

Or at least, that's how I play it... :p

Well, probably the smallest break I'd have between classes would be an hour, so I'd have a bit of time. :)

Yeah, battles tend to move a lot slower, but interrupting it sort of loses your train of thought since it moves so slow. :p

Come to think of it - the Judgemasters are a lot like CFC moderators...

Yeah, you guys are always wasting turns moving around, then whenever I use a corpse to cover my back you guys shift it into the river. ;)

My sage is now learning the giga flare. :) Though it doesn't seem all that powerful... :hmm:

Also recruited another new level 26 bangaa gladiator - will try to recruit another viera and another nu mou to form a more 'balanced' and bigger war party.

Also broke another law accidentally - fine was loss of stats for my illusionist/black/white mage. :( I've lost count of how much stats and cards I've been fined so far...

Will have to look at some FAQs later, to see what needs to be done... :)

I reset whenever I break the laws. :mischief:

That missile law gets me every time and I have no idea why I keep forgetting about it.

Cheater... :p

Last night, I've also recruited another secret character - Cheney, human hunter. He comes equipped with the ultima shot and capture skills. :)

Unfortunately I already have an archer/hunter with almost every skill (except for ultima shot) in those classes... :(

Now going for the Bangaa gladiator one... hehe.
