As a relative newbie, can someone please explain the difference in benefit between the two?

To me, it appears that the benefit of financial scales with the amount of water tiles and cottages worked (and thus the size of the city)

while organized scales with the amount of cities you have (thus the size of your empire)

However, i don't know what conclusion to make of this! :crazyeye:

there was a long thread discussing these 2 traits a few days ago, go back a few pages and you should find it (I'm not sure how to link it, sorry)

oh, it might of been under the Strategies and Tips heading

They're not similar at all...

Organized reduces civic costs (which increased based on your civ's population) and Financial adds a gold bonus to tiles being worked that are already producing two gold.

Remember that the effect of financial is greater the bigger the map is (there's more tiles that you get a bonus on), while the effect of organized scales with the size of the map (where maintainence gets larger the smaller the map).

Financial lets you make more Commerce (which can be either Gold, Beakers or Espionage). Organized lets you save Gold in Civic upkeep. I wont go down the line discussing which one is better / more useful.

For me Organized doesn't seam to have an effect
It doesnt, if your empire is small (as civics cost are dependant on Population), if you use cheap civics (as those are just cheap), or play on low difficulties (as you get discounts on civic cost anyway).

Other than this...
