So much of the work has already been done with the large spanish empire and having the top score. The only thing that is keeping the victory away is Roosevelt and his space ship apollo program that can give him the space race victory.

To take victory you can

1) space race
Wait for enough EPs to sabotage the space ship that Roosevelt is building and build one on your own.

2)domination
Conquer the rest of the AIs on the continent including Roosevelt.

but time victory I doubt because Suleiman is in other continent with cultural victory.
Or just give up on this one and start a new one?

I gave it a try, but I actually won a Diplomatic victory

Although Roosevelt is ahead of you in tech, you have a production lead :goodjob: To take advantage of that lead, I SHIFT-ALT-clicked units basically in every city (mostly Gunships, Artillery and Infantry and some coastal cities on Transports). I also reduced the science slider down to 0% for a couple of turns so I could accumulate some gold in order to upgrade some existing units.

Suleiman was closer to Cultural victory than Roosevelt to Space Race, so I chose him to be the first target. Launched an invasion with a stack of 40 units or so. Forced him to capitulation by leaving him with only 1 city which would act as a buffer (Roosevelt had vassalized Boudica)

During the war against Suleiman I continued to research in the following order: Composites - Laser - Computers - Robotics - Stealth. That gave me an access to up-to-date military units. After that I simply turned the research slider off and continued to upgrade units in addition to producing them in almost every city.

Declared on Roosevelt with a stack of 60+ units. At least 1/3 of the stack was composed of Mobile Artillery. Boston and Washington were the first cities to fall. New York, Chicago and Atlanta were next. After that, Roosevelt was pretty much weakened and the rest of his cities would have been simply a matter of time.

As Joao had also started to threaten with Space Race victory, I decided to try a Diplomatic victory which eventually succeeded.

I was able to launch a full ship 31 turns from your save.

- 1 of suleiman's culture cities is on the coast and needs to be razed asap.

- don't use the culture slider, there are more resources to trade. (and even if there weren't it still isn't worth it)

- You've still have a 1 gp golden age coming up.

- Trade techs. Hatty has refrigeration for you, and you can let her research fission.
some other AI's are no threat to win, and you can sell off old or non-spaceship techs to them.

- don't build industrial parks. 200 hammers, for 1 free engineer and +4 unhealth, (wich you really can't afford, even with environmentalism).
Only good for the national park city or national epic city if you really need another great engineer.

- It will be necessary to workshop 3 cities with a large population and a lot of grass.

- Tech to superconductors asap to build labaratories.

Omg, gj and how did you do that? I tried doing the same thing but Roosevelt ended up launching a space ship on me while I was in the other continent.

That's gj too. I tried doing something similar and ended up getting space ship parts destroyed by spies. How'd you manage to keep the spaceship secure?

My victory was kind of close call. When I finished the game in July 2025 AD, Roosevelt had built all the parts except SS Engine and he had already researched Fusion. Maybe the war kept him distracted (declared on him in January 2020 AD). Actually, Joao had become an equal threat for SR victory and he was already building SS Engines, but for some reason the game considered Roosevelt to be ahead of him in SR.

When did Roosevelt launch the ship in your game?

I Peeked in worldbuilder, Roosevelt was still building a thruster in a city were it would take 9 turns to finish it. (and he was cottaging over a workshop in this city as well).
Joao was stuck on the last casing for even longer. I don't think AI's ever launch without a full ship, or move those parts to cities that produce them faster.
They both had all techs.

I don't really remember the date, I think it was in 2030 AD, or later. I got to destroy a few ship parts but he still ended up launching the ship. I got to destroy 2 parts but got caught a few times. Did you have your parts destroyed by spies?

I launched January 2021, so finished January 2026, without having any parts destroyed. Declaring war on Roosevelt might have slowed him down, but it probably also caused the spy activity, so I'm not sure wether that helped.

Did you have your parts destroyed by spies?

Yes, they did. SS Docking Bay in Valencia got destroyed on completion basically. I was not at war with anyone at that point. But when it was destroyed, I gave up any attempts of building the parts and concentrated all efforts on military.
